Who ?
The Advertisers. Consumers are going to flock to buy their products and services after those catchy commercials.
lol, give me a break, it's almost 1:15 in the morning here, and i'm working off of 3 hours of sleep in about 40 hours.
During the Colts - Patriots game, there was a commercial advertising a commercial that will be aired during the Super Bowl. How crazy is it going to get?
I can't say he is my favorite, be he sure deserves one. I think Chargers Patriots and Colts are all better teams than the Bears. Hopefully it will still be a good game to watch.
I think da Bears are more physical than any of them, it's going to depend on a few things, IMO: 1) Can Grossman have a great game ? 2) Can da Bears keep Freeney off of Grossman ? 3) Can da Bears disguise their defense enough to throw off Manning and make a few key picks ? 4) Can da Bears run north/south thru the Colts line ? 5) Can the Colts magical running game run against da Bears ? All it takes for Peyton to have a bad game is to get a few tipped balls picked off, but also, almost all of the above 5 things have to happen for da Bears to win. This is where Vinatieri is an asset, but will his streak continue ? Is it just me, or is ALL of the pressure off of Grossman and on Peyton's back ? If da Bears had Mike Brown, I'd take them in a heartbeat, but they don't...
I was very surprised about Payton's attitude after the play off win. In the interview he was quite reserved. He made a comment about the win like, "we were behind after the first half and we had to play to our potential." He didn't act excited or say how he was looking forward to playing in the superbowl. He also didn't say a word about winning the big game. No Joe Namath attitude at all. I guess he makes so much money the love for the game is not nearly as strong. The guy is doing a lot of commercials and I'm sure has a lot of sources of income. If he wanted to win the big one for the Gipper, he kept it a secret.
I don't really really "like" any of the teams. I think Peyton is an ****** who puts blame on everyone else when there's an error; so I'll be rooting for da Bears. But I think Indy will win it...
Both teams are cover 2 defense and more or less run the same offensive playbook...Lovie's is an off-shoot of Dungy's. Colts are great and the last 3/4 games their defense (run and otherwise) has simply decided to play better. Nothing different at all that I can see play-wise...just playing better. Maybe bringing Bob Sanders closer to the line...but nothing drastic. Colts O is nuts. Simply put. Harrison/Wayne/Addai/Rhodes/Dallas Clark are all outstanding...Peyton is his own army, regardless what you think of him. The cover 2 is obviously a defense made successful by a front 4 that can penetrate...that will be the deciding factor...getting to Peyton, not giving him 2-3 minutes to set up the play and find his reciever. Keep the pressure...that's it. It comes down to this for me: The Chicago Bears cannot let the Colts come out and score immediately, get momentum and build up a 14-0/17-0 lead…it can’t happen. For Chicago to win this game, the defense will have to play hard, force the punts, force the fumbles, and interceptions as much as they possible can… Chicago has to stay close, run the ball continuously, force whatever they can defensively and take smart throws when needed. ONLY when needed. The ball in Rex’s hand the last couple of weeks hasn’t been too horrible…actually to the contrary, but we cannot let ourselves think that he ISN’T capable of completely ruining any chance the Bears might have in XLI.
My vote from Rockford, IL is Chicago Bears win on Feb 4th. yell at me if they don't, but they're just there to do the Superbowl Shuffle.
I agree with you AKain. And as far as Peyton's personality goes, it's just the way he is, he is very reserved on the field and in the locker room, I am the same way. Come to think of it, MOST good QB's in the game are pretty reserved, I cannot think of any that are a rah-rah type in the same category as Joe Namath with the possible exception of the guy in Green Bay, a large gap, then Jeff Garcia. Hasselbeck, Brees, Grossman, Pennington, Brady, Bulger, Romo, McNair, Eli, Rivers, Green, all are pretty sedate. A lot of who we think are all-time greats were pretty sedate most of the time, Montana, Staubach, Aikman...
The winner is gonna be a certain team..from a certain town..that starts with a C and ends with an O and has HICAG in the middle.
Not really a fan of the pro game, butI think the Colts win it unless Rex has a huge game. The Bears seem kind of one dimensional on offense and the Colts should be able to stop the run. If Rex can get going and has a big game then the Bears. My guess is: Colts 34 Bears 24 But I am usually wrong, so Chicago fans get ready to enjoy the game! BT
The Colts defense is not great. The Bears can run on the Colts. And for everyone who says the Bears defense is weak, they just stopped the highest powered offense in the NFL.
This may be the last place I haven't told my Peyton Manning story: Summer of '93 I was in a pool room in New Orleans, and this tall lanky kid was wearing a UT cap. So naturally I went over and introduced myself. Turned out he was headed to UT to play football in the fall. I surveyed his long thin frame and ventured "wide receiver?" "No, quarterback." "Wow, that's a tough row to hoe," I told him. "We're really deep at quarterback." So we chatted for a few minutes, and I told him I'd be rooting for him and asked him his name. "Peyton Manning," he told me without a hint of "don't you know who I am?" The penny finally dropped. "Oh, yeah, we're all excited about you coming to play for us!" I uttered a few more platitudes and excused myself, a little embarrassed not to have recognised him, and very impressed with a really nice young man. I kept my promise, and rooted for him at UT. I'm happy that I'll be able to root for him in XLI.
