Driver says it was the last one made. Maybe Peloton25 can offer some insight, he is the Mclaren F1 guru..
Erik filmed those vids. The car is now in Costa Rica owned by a Mr. P (i've removed his last name for privacy). Thats chassis #068, definatley not the last car made. He did correct himself after saying that btw. Vids were filmed last year at the Monterey festivities. Car has/had VERY low miles and has been in storage most of its life
It was actually the other passenger who said it was the last one made - he was speaking to someone in a car next to us. Both myself and the owner (who was driving) ended up correcting him on that detail. When the current owner purchased the car it had never been registered and still had just about the same number of miles on the odometer as when the car originally left the McLaren factory in 1997. When I was in the car it was hovering just over 400 miles - still very much a new car by most standards. There were a total of 6 or 7 vids I made that day. I'm not sure why those are the only two that have been shared on YouTube. When I get a chance I will upload the rest of them. >8^) ER
So no matter what.... the driver always rides *****? heh.... he'll always be snow skiing if the two passengers are males. interesting....
The driver has the best seat in the car by far. I didn't find the side seats to be any less comfortable, you just don't have the same great view. >8^) ER
I was actually really surprised how far back of the driver you are when you sit in the side seat. They are the most comfy seats i've ever been in. I didn't want to get out.
Which is why its still the greatest car ever made or atleast my opinion. I don't get it why companys still use the conventional side seating.
