I'm a Junior in High School this year, so I'll get to be on Varsity, which I think is really exciting. I'm 6'2" 160lbs and gaining weight. I play Wide Receiver and Safety. My team is the Carl Junction Bulldogs.

Is anyone else playing sports right now? High school, college, etc? I think it'd be fun to keep a running tally on how everyone's season goes.

Legal ones. Start with routine stuff like Creatine; don't go too heavy on any supplement at your age, seriously. That's more late high school and if/when you're about to get into College ball.

As for my "season." Track for me is done for the summer (injuries and just need to take this time off and clear the mind) But come September I'll be back at the Univ. of Colorado training for the Decathlon. Our season starts in January though, so it will be a while.

no offense, but if you aint got it, you aint got it. Kids who play at USC or any major college are naturally huge, strong, and quick, and all have worked their ass off to get even stronger, faster, and quicker

160 and 6 2 you must be a rail, granted im not much better, and I am a rail but I play basketball. No way in hell even at 6'2 and 180-190 you make and play at any mid major college unless your blindingly quick and/or exceptionally talented.

It helps if your big and strong, but as you said you just need to be quick and be able to do your thing. There are a lot of guys on the team that aren't as strong as you would think. Hell one of the CB's is about 5'9 and weighs less than 200. But he's quick. I also know of a lot of guys that have not always been naturally strong or big. It's more of just working your ass off. Doing what you do best.

If you put to your mind to it and at least meet the standards and work your ass off, its tough as hell, but there's always a shot to make it into a great football program.

but you said it. 5'9 and 190 is SO DIFFERENT then 6'2 and 190. At 5'9 and 190, all muscle, you are still extremely strong.

But hey, who knows hard work pays off. you get what you put in right?
