I think it will be kind of cool . . . in more ways than one.
always my favorite tournament to watch. all the history plus the course makes for interesting viewing.
Best sporting event of the year. No dogwood, azalea, no "patrons". Here are the three guys I laid money on: Xander, Cantlay, Jason Day. all to win
here are top odds so far. ohh how Tiger has fallen in just 18 months and it had been 11 years for a major before that. I really like Bryson, also a fan now of Rahm, Finau, and Watson. My favorite is Spieth, but waiting for his game to get back. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Who's ready for The Masters in November? Nope, zero interest. Either hold it when it is supposed to be played, or wait til next year.
Golf is one of the few sports I've enjoyed this fall. I quit the big 3. All I did was some NHL and racing.
If the weather was like today, it would be great, but it's supposed to be rainy at first and chillier on the weekend. I wonder if falling leaves will disrupt play at all.
If falling leaves are a problem, they are a problem for all the players, so in that respect, it's all equal. I don't know why any of you have a problem of it being played later than normal, it's just a game.
I quit the NBA maybe 15 years ago when players started changing teams every other year, 'demanding' certain players be picked up, or 'demanding' to go to certain teams, and almost the same for baseball, I just could not keep up with who was where/when did he go THERE? Football I cannot give up on because it's the only thing that I can look forward to, that keeps me sane. I will say I skip the pregame crap, and I watch it on over-the-air antennas so they cannot track my watching it thru the cable TV box and add to their viewership numbers, all it takes is a few hundred thousand people to do that, maybe a million.... LOL Hockey, meh, even though I play it myself in a pickup game once in awhile, I don't watch it on TV, I kinda lost favor with it when they started pasting the advertising signage on the boards and in the ice. I know, that seems petty, I personally just don't like it. F1 I stopped for the most part when Senna died, and even moreso when Schumi retired. I can honestly say in the last ten years I've watched maybe a combined 2-3 hours total of it, just enough to remind me how much I don't like it anymore. Same with Indy cars.
One thing is for sure: it will get dark much earlier. And not all the trees at Augusta National are evergreens.
It's a joke Jim! I've been lucky enough to be on AN grounds five times. I watched Bryson DeChambeau's presser today. He was asked to go over the clubs he hit into the greens during his practice rounds. Do yourself a favor and try to catch it. For example, a wedge into 13 for second shot. He can drive # 3.
I saw that, he’s amazing. I would love to see him win if Jordan still doesn’t have his game. I love how he’s revolutionized the game and other players giving him crap about it too.
Bryson was hitting them plenty long today, but not plenty straight. I enjoyed watching Tiger's round: very controlled and seemingly relaxed. The weather sure turned spectacularly good after the morning rains. Weather the rest of the way should be fine, though a bit cooler on the weekend.
It was OK watching today. Some of my favorites in it, disappointed with Speith's round. My damn streaming isn't working in my living room, so I can basically only watch in the bedroom. Maybe tomorrow I'll go hit balls at the Cowboys Club and then watch inside.
I watched a little this morning, but then went and played a round myself. It will be interesting to see if 7 under holds up as the 1st round leader.
It will take 20 under to win this and future Masters. Without wind and hard and fast conditions, AN is defenseless.
