At Bruno's birthday bash I heard a few people comment on my old slow 308 beast. So I thought I'd post the before and after pictures together of the car's transformation...making its first public at Bruno's. Thanks to Spasso for the new photo!

Cosmetic changes were of course 16" QV rims, a very light window tint. Up front, new front springs.

Well, hopefully Peter will post some more detailed interior and exterior shots; cause in my book, this is one very nice, very well restored and kept example. I am impressed with the effort to make this car look as original as possible, while making a few well intentioned, and carefully thought out "improvements".

    Congratulations Peter!

How do you like your new springs, are they stiffer?

The color combo is especially nice. I wouldn't mind at all having an Fcar in Grey/Tan

The little horsies even found their way onto the headlamp shells, you can see them on the avatar on my posts! I didn't do this treatment, but they're tasteful enough so I left them on...They're either hand stenciled on the car, or they're the best microfilm decals I've ever seen.

The springs are indeed stiffer. Check this out for the rough specs:
    v308 update.

The window tinting is a 30% light blocking, "LLumaStar" product from "LLumar."
It was put on by "Auto Trendz," 253-826-1231, in Pacific, Wa. (south of Kent). Jay Harvell, the owner of this little one man shop did the install. Numerous auto dealers in Fife (MBZ, BMW, Lexus etc) send all their tint jobs there. I had him do my son's car first, then the wife's MBZ...great work done! So the F-car got it too. Excellent job, very reasonable prices. The clarity of the tint is outstanding...night rear view mirror images are as sharp as no film at all. I won't do it to my light ivory colored 914, it just wouldn't look right with that color combo. But on the darker colors, particularly the GTS with the rear window grilles, it works. PeterB.

I guess we'll be fighting over the 512TR that has this color combo too, eh?:)
But I'm still holding out for the 512BB that comes up with this combo, god I hope the house/garage remod is done by then. PeterB.
