    It seems that many threads here go off on tangents that end with insult slinging. If a person does not agree with you, that is their right. I fail to understand why people feel the need to belittle others by calling them names or questioning their intelligence. If person A presents an opinion, person B is free to disagree. Why person B feels the need to call person A "an idiot", "a moron", or lump Person A in with comments like "any idiot knows".

    For many people Ferrari is a destination in life, hopefully everyone has had great success in life and the purchasing of a Ferrari is one of the rewards of hard work. If we agree on the aforementioned principle, why all the attacks? Belittling another or yelling louder than them does not change them over to your point of view, it simply escalates the exchange.

    Try to step back from the situation for a moment before slinging mud. If you happened across two people verbally assualting each other in the supermarket parking lot you would be shocked and you may inform the store's manager or a passing police officer. Why do accept behaviors in chatrooms that would never pass on the street? If you find yourself having the same type of insult flinging altercations in real life that you have here, most of us would assume you are part of the problem.

    All I'm saying is, your opinion is not worth more or is more validated than anyone else's. If you wish to make judgements on others, become an attorney and try to get a seat on the bench. In the mean time, follow that old saying "treat other as you wish to be treated". We are mostly educated, wealthy people, why do we allow ourselves to act like children and criminals when on a keyboard? If a thread makes it to its fifth page you can almost guarantee the original topic has long since been abandoned and thread has become a insultfest, which is sad.

    I agree, its just a sign of immaturity. it makes some people feel smarter or better than others to put them down. I have just learned to ignore it on this site. There are still a lot of nice people and helpful information available.

    Ego maniacs, type A personalities, whatever you want to call it, I think Ferrari attracts it a bit. Personally, this is the only place I see it get out of control consistently. Granted I don't have a lot to compare it to. It does get tiring having people getting bent out of shape and defending themselves over inconsiderate attacks that seem to escalate.

    If a person disagrees with me, it is not their "right," it is bad breeding and/or environment and/or delusions on their part.

    The Internet may be relatively new, but words flung about like so much detritus in this barrel of monkeys aren't.

    For example, idiot has been in use since ca. 1300, and while some put the id in idiot - others are preservationists, and as such, use the word to identify those within this village (ca. 1386) ... village idiots (ca. 1907).

    No matter, it's nothing new under the sun.

    You should consider starting your own monarchy. Depending on your resources, you may want to start off with a small island like Cuba before trying to dominate the globe like Great Britian did three centuries ago.
