Another issue today after the ignition key issue was resolved.

    2002 360 F1 Spider, approximately 60,000 kms and a clutch reading of 71%.

We got the ignition put back together, fired up the car and put it in reverse in order to test drive the car. The car needed approximately 2,500 - 3,000 RPM's to move the car in either forward or reverse gears.

Scanned and tried a re-learn of the TCU, it went through the sequence and same thing, high revs needed to move the car.

What could be the issue/s causing this?

As always your opinions and help are appreciated.

    Regards,
    Mike

Sounds like your clutch is slipping.

Get it up to speed, put it in as high gear as you can so the revs are below 3k and floor the gas. See if the rev kicks up to confirm for sure.

    Thanks for your suggestion Mike.

The clutch worked fine just prior to going in for a major service which was completed a few days ago (Saturday), it seemed fine when backing it off the lift. We did brakes at that time and ran into the ignition issue so the car never moved until yesterday when the ignition issue was fixed.

The tech mentioned clearing a list of codes after checking the clutch life on Saturday, would clearing the codes have affected the TCU or be the cause of this issue?

    Thanks again for your help,
    Mike

The only other potential issue I would hypothesize is that the PIS setting got messed up where the clutch kiss point is set too high and so it doesn't actually kiss until very late which means you are just free revving in the beginning.

But do test the clutch for slippage as even if the life is good a leaking throw out beating or rear main seal can ruin the friction disk

You said you went trough "re-learn" but did you manually adjust the PIS -number or left it as standard? I'd start from there. I changed my worn clutch just 2 months ago and my tech went trough the "auto learning" thing. It still felt somewhat strange so he manually adjusted the PIS -number more to my liking and now it feels spot on.
