It is a great car. The wife is now putting pressure on to sell some cars since I am getting to old and health is not getting any better. I drive it more now and it is great but just have to many cars and do not want to have happen to my wife that happened to my mother. Dad died with 26 cars and she had no clue what they where worth.

The problem is that the cars we will keep MUST have more of a reason other than, Yes I have one. SHe is selling Her 1971 "E" type Jag V12, 27,000 miles, why, never uses it. Also her 1986 JAG VDP, Same reason. I am selling the TR, XJS, Rolls, Porsche and maybe the 1980 Vette. Other than utillity units we use for car shows the ones safe are her 740iL, my S500 her 2003 Vette, Her 1978 300d with 18,000 miles My race car.
We have already sold, Bentley, 5.0 Mustang, Trans-am, 195 XJS, 300ZX turbo, 280zx twin turbo, Packard, V12 Sedan.
That is why I am slowing down.
It is not the money thing it is why just let them sit when someone elses can enjoy them.

So what would be a good advice for a guy who might just go ahead and pull the trigger on a V12 instead of a V8 Qv + upgrades? What should one watch out for (problematic issues) with the TR's? I've heard some (nasty) stories with the Diff's, some electrical gremlins, etc. Hope you dont mind me asking too many questions, I just want to be well informed before I make any commitments. Thanks big guy! :D

EDIT: Also, whats the best year for a TR?

Records like the above with the receipts, which I have, Orignal Owners manuel, tools which I have and a history showing who had the car, where and why they sold, which I have.
YOu find that type of car and if it has a few scratches and such which I have, you make a non insulting offer and buy it. I got offers of $36,000 amd a 5.0 Mustange. The best one was 2 weeks ago at a car show. Guy saide $57,000.00 which was fine BUT wanted to give me $1,200.00 down and make payments to ME but take the car to Georgia. Yea RIGHT!!!

I think that there are 2 ways you can go with this - either pay a premium for the best car you can find or try to find a car that is in need of the major service (but with a known history lacking abuse such as burnouts) and get it all done yourself. You'll end up spending about the same either way and have a car you can be comfortable with - still no guarantees, but what the heck!

Yeah, I guess if you change the oil and plugs a lot and don't service it the short-term costs aren't bad. ;)
