Why dash shrinkage on 355?

    Why does the 355 dash leather shrink and/or bubble. Is it the result of defective workmanship? Is it the result of environmental issues (sunlight, etc.)? Is it the result of improper maintanence (amonia based cleaners, etc.)? Most important, if you are lucky enough to purchase a 355 without this common problem, how do you prevent it in the future? Thanks for your thoughts.

    I dont have any dash shrinkage on mine. Put a dash cover, keep it conditioned with LEXOL.
