    Hello,

I was driving the 348 Spider in the rain yesterday (please don't hate me for driving in the rain - it looked clear when I left the house). Anyways, while driving home, I felt a little drip on my left foot while it was resting on the dead pedal. Then another drip. Definitely dripping water. BTW, it was raining so hard, I could only go 45 MPH.

Question: Any ideas what could be dripping water and from where it may be coming from? Where is the a/c outlet drain/hose from the evaporator?

    Thanks!

    RTFM,
The 348 Spider owners manual says something like:
"Some egress of water & air is to be expected."

HAHAHAHA!!! Ask the folks who attended the VIR track day this spring about my 348 in the rain!! I had goldfish swimming in the car because of all the rain that came in.

Seriously, I had big-time dripping on my left foot too. I find it comforting that most of the water was running into the electric instruments and such. It could have been a shocking experience. My fix? Wear crappy shoes and keep driving.

My 355 has the same problem.
The 355 has the same AC box as the 348
I have taken a small piece of plexaglass and put it in the lower 1/2 inch of the return air vent with silicon to act as a water dam. This stopped about 75% of the water problems. I think if I made it higher the problem would be totaly solved.
I have checked all the drains, all OK. For some reason when you accerrate or go up a hill the water comes out throught the return air vent, Just another bad Ferrari design.

    LOL, roof was up.

enjoythemusic - That's the OTHER wet spot. I was only originally willing to share the wet foot issue.

Is the leak because of the rain or because of the a/c leaking condensation?

My 355 is a Hard Top
It is only when it rains or car is washed on a hill.
