Why did you choose Ferrari over other exotics?

I bought a 308 when I was 23. My favorite car as a kid was the Countach followed by the TR. I liked the old Ferrari's. When I was 27, I got a 512 TR. Now, I have a 612 and a Lamborghini. I still like the brutality of the Lamborghini best, but the Ferrari's class, theater and style is a close second. I never bought a countach, because they are all flash and no drivability. The modern Lamborghini's (Gallardo, Aventador) on the other hand, are amazing.

 

Why Ferrari over others?

Enzo's original vision for his car company resonated with me...followed by the resulting beauty and successful race provenance of his cars.

BTW, Ferdinand's vision and subsequent results were also admirable in my mind. But I don't necessarily consider Porsches exotic anymore except for its race cars.
