Hello all, I have a 308 and a 360 is about 18 months away. Why do owners of 360's change their exhausts? Is it personal? (To change the sound.) To increase the horsepower? Is it to replace a Ferrari flaw in design? (Like in the 355.) Does it help deter or delay a problem with the engine? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanking you all in advance!!!!! Tom
I have read here over and over how the stock 360 system is a bit anemic as far as sound is concerned. Stock 430 is quite good IMO.
Geezus! I just stumbled upon this -its a countach but maaaan you need to here this thing SCREAM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foDcLUhUKqI&feature=related
Now that the sound has been enhanced is it possible to be too loud??? I would eventually like to take the car on longer rides. Would the sound be overwhelming over the long haul??? A most gracious thank you to all!!!! Tom
It all depends what you want. I am not into quiet Ferrari's. My TR had essentially straight pipes. My 348 had a Tubi and test pipes, and my Stradale has a couple of small resonators.... but they all scream like F1 cars!
Tom- The higher end systems like Capristo, Novitec and Kreissieg are available with valves so you can have quiet cruise and great sound at WOT. Capristo even has a remotely operated solenoid so you can choose how loud you want to be with the push of a button. Taz Terry Phillips
Ferrari with aftermarket exhaust is the closest way to enjoy f1 car sound without burning your pocket to buy F1 car ( if possible)
