All weekend long this guy has his car parked right in front of the hotel we were staying at. There is only enough room for two cars to park side by side, so with him parking there it's down to one slot. On top of that when the last slot is filled nobody can get into the upper parking. The hotel had plenty of parking, even a covered area with extra slots , so this guy could have taken two of those, but no instead he created a three day cluster $%uk.

Stuff like this really gives owners a bad rap.

    Dear Lamborghinisti,

Nope....you fail. Most hotels, restaurants, clubs want a Lamborghini in front. I'll bet the owner was asked or at least had permission to park there. I go to a couple of restaurants that have a similar portico. I'm the only one allowed to park there.

    Hahaha....when you step up from a Ferrari...you'll understand.... :D

Are you serious? I highly doubt any hotel that gives a crap about their reputation would ask anyone to park their car in a highly inconvenient place that hinders other hotel residents to park. So what if it's a Lamborghini? If you happen to bring along your 7 foot tall $1.5 million vase to the hotel, they're not going to ask you to display it in an area that would block their doorway. Velocetwo has a very valid complaint, that's ridiculous.

Most hotels, bars and clubs want flashy cars out front, at least that is how I have seen it in Houston, Las Vegas, So Cal, and So FL....I don't get to go anywhere much so sadly those are the only places I have been :(

But still a possibility the guy is a doucebag :)

That is a big no. They were annoyed because everyone was complaining at the front desk all weekend. There were all sorts of exotics there all weekend and everyone else seemed to be able to park OK.

a local hotel mgr once asked us to park at the entrance. he went into the parking lot and asked us. i thought he was going to ask us not to park at the hotel because we weren't staying there.

the car in question belongs to SCC. the driver is a bit of a ****** if i may say so myself.

This happens quite a bit, happened to me when I stayed in L.A this past May, the GM gave up his parking spot for me right in front, first stall complete with private curtain. I was very appreciative of his gesture and in turn I spent extra $$$$ in the Hotel.

    Content & context. Two [2] slots - One [1] knob = One [1] mob.

I knew several GMs & Directors of same industry & if it's a "boutique" entry like that depicted in photo & guests are inconvenienced, especially to extent complaints about ingress & egress pile up ~ ambassadorship & majority equates Mob rules over Knob.

I have been asked a few times in my area (Dallas-Ft Worth) to park my car in front of a resturant or bar. I have already parked in a spot and someone from the place comes out and asks me to please move my car to the front. I do feel a little weird about it because I know some people probably think I am the ****** that had to park his car in front. But then again I don't have to worry about door dings either so I do it.

What I witnessed were people leaning on the car and touching it. At one point there were 3-4 young boys about 6-8 and someone told them to NOT touch it . The adult turned around and the kids immediately stated touching it repetitively in defiance, so the car really got some special treatment.

I think if you park out front, even if your asked to, your car is not safer. Parked in front it's in the position to be scratched and vandalized.

I agree with the comment about hotels, clubs, bars, and restaurants wanting exotics up front, but if it comes at the expense of other customers that's not cool.

Last weekend a group of us traveled up to Saskatoon Saskatchewan and stayed at a wonderful old world hotel (no indoor parking). We contacted the hotel in advance and they were kind enough to block off a group of parking spaces for our group.

In turn we took some initiative and rented some stanchions and hired a private security firm to watch over our cars while we enjoyed ourselves.

In retrospect it was money well spent and was a suprisingly inexpensive way to make sure the cars were protected while still allowing interested guests to view the cars from a safe distance.

    Dear Lamborghinisti,

Bawhaha....go back to silver...you don't get it. I get asked all the time to park my Lamborghini in front of establishments.

I knew a guy who owned a small hotel and he was able to write off his 348. He claimed it as advertising because it was parked in front to add cache.

That may be true in Lakeland, FL. When I had my Monterey Edition Diablo SV in '98 - '99, no one in metropolitan Chicago EVER asked me to park in front of their establishment. Not once. Sure, it would be parked in front by the valet (as was every Ferrari, Aston, etc. I've ever owned) but I think the kind of places I frequented back then must be different from those at which you hang out.

One of the major reasons I sold that car was that I actually did get tired of all the attention it drew at a gas station, on the street, etc., although of all the cars I've owned I think I miss that one the most. Something tells me the attention is part of the ownership experience that never bothers you at all.

    Dear Lamborghinisti,

Lakeland, Sarasota, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Palm Beach.....it's FLORIDA ! :D

Beyond the bling, these cars are works of art and are meant to be shared. How many people see a Diablo VT Roadster up close....not behind the velvet rope?

You have to be patient. You get the same questions asked over and over...but, it's a new experience to them. If you don't want to share...buy a Porsche...no one will ever ask you to take a picture of the engine.

Everyone can call all the douchie you want.... but these cars will always be in preferred parking spots by request.

So wait a minute, it may be true in Florida but not Chicago. Didn't you say that they parked it in front anyway with all the other exotics. They wanted the bling in front and the more the better. I travel plenty and I can't think of one establishment that doesn't want to show off, whether it's their famous customers or cool cars. Just sayin. :)

I don't doubt it for a minute. Such a car, minus those unfortunate rims, would be an attention getter and what business doesn't want attention. I think, respectfully, your logic is a wee bit left of center on this one.
