They work on new cars, and cars under warranty......and possibly VERY old cars......

I did see a 355 bumper getting sprayed.
    No future in that......

That's what they did, in MY case...and they ARE booked solid for months ahead.

But I understand, and it's 'okay"........I think we are all still friends.

I could share the email, but I won't........it was pretty bizarre though.
It had something in it about "money" and "profit"....I certainly took it to heart.

    I vaguely understand those concepts..

Let's all go to Franco's and have some champagne....it's okay....really...

    Dave, you're JUST a troublemaker!!....but you're invited too!

As many have pointed out, they have a LOT of specialized equipment to be Factory Certified on the aluminum frame car repairs......they monitor the Chat but really feel no need explain themselves.

Maybe that's the dividing line. Steel. Aluminum

FWIW, I'm with ya, Dave. There is no excuse for not returning calls or emails.

It appears that modern methods of communication have failed. You should drive your car over there and talk to Steve or the General Manager to set up an appointment for your repairs.

    Good luck to you, man.

From all I have read, il Commendatore ran his company this way from inception.

Risi might be the last, authentic Ferrari service experience. All should be so lucky. ;)

Yep, just me and Dave, waiting in the Reception room, for someone to bring up a camshaft or something.....:D :D :D

    There's a REASON that A.J. Foyt's Boxer had low mileage.....:D :D :D
I think he did make up with the Old Man, after a rather rough start.....

last I checked I'm head baby sitter around here and there is no one in the world that has more permissions on FChat than me. Mods of Texas forum can still make post edits, but it is only a "soft" change and I see the date/time/mod stamp of every little change and can revert back if I want. I just did a review of this thread and didn't see a single edit expect users editing their own posts within allotted 60 minutes.

So please tell, what the F are you talking about? Trust me, FOH has contacted me several times, but not any this year, including for this.

Yep I'm pretty sure that you're the big kahuna (bet I spelled that wrong) around here Rob.

I'd swear that BigTex posted a note in this thread saying "blackspyder" was the bodyshop manager. I'm sure I got the email on it yet don't see it here. I thought that was pretty odd. So is my wife right, am I losing it?

just did a quick check and BigTex edited 2 posts within his 60 minutes, but neither significant or related to that. FYI a user can edit their post within a minute for no modify stamp to appear.

sure it wasn't something from email or PM? I know those along with posts sometimes run together in the communication chain.

I have gotten good at that one minute edit, use it all the time for punctuation and terrible spelling... I notice Firefox carries spell check into the Fchat environment.

It means you'd better leave FoH alone with the racecars....

I'll tell you about it at the Festival, did you get your car entered, only 40 allowed....

No matter, we can park at LuLu Lemon across the street, where the SCENERY is!!!

Edit: Well, maybe not, there's my River Oaks ex gf in this one candid class shot.....fancy that......

For the record; while Steve the body shop manager at Ferrari of Houston may have "a memory like an elephant" his common courtesy and business skills are lacking. He never did return my calls even to say he wasn't interested in working on any of my cars. That's too bad. I sure wouldn't want to have that kind of reputation.

I'd like to publicly thank TexasF355F1 for the lead on Metro Collision. http://www.metropolitancollision.com/ I talked to both Andy, the owner, and Jason his son who were pleasant, honest, and went out of their way to take care of me and my car. Their work was flawless, completed on time, and done for a few dollars less than quoted. I wouldn't have any problem telling a fellow enthusiast to take their car there.

I'd have to chime in that communication/responsiveness within reason is a crucial part of customer service for any business(I'm in effect a small business owner as a Realtor). Four days since you called them with an inquiry and no return call from a business is generally not acceptable. Now if you had said in your voice mail message to them something like "please get back to me when you can, no hurry" or something like that then maybe four days is not a huge deal. But even if someone left me such a message I would usually call them back within a day, and not more than three days. If they really wanted to part ways with your patronage they could at least call you back and express their concerns.

Well I figure sometimes you just have to be the bigger person.

Today I had our company send him a bottle of our most expensive wine. I included a hand written note thanking him for his time, said I was sorry we weren't able to do any business, wished him and his family a Merry Christmas, and invited them to join us for the Christmas Eve service at our church.

If I was the owner of FoH the body shop manager would be unemployed. No business of mine would ever be run with that type of arrogance no matter how difficult of a customer. The future loss of business and projected lack of customer service by thousands of people who could see this is incalculable. The audacity to come on a public forum and insult a customer is truly amazing.

I do agree with this. Authentic to the way the corporation and the man felt about his customers. I've posted in this thread that I had the same issues in the parts dept. Now I feel honored for being treated the way the man himself would have treated me. Really didn't hurt my feelings, there are plenty of parts sources.
