    Here's an easy way around building your own engine cart: put the wheels back on and stick a caster wheel on the front plate where it attaches to the bulkhead.

    And sometimes there's a need for access from underneath when the eng/trans is out.

    BTW, I really like the stand you built (described in another forum).

    I made the engine bay ones height adjustable, allows a lot of options and I can wheel the car about now that I made a front pair as well.

    I cheat with the engine, wheels off and low pallet truck to move it about.
