    ...She is running great...
    She is this....

Passionate relantionship most of the time its a guy talking about the car. How would it sound if I said "I finally took him out" "he is running really smooth" "he really pushes me into the back of the seat when i get on him" None of this sounds right....
Even girls say "her" when talking about there cars...so i dont know

As previously mentioned, a lot of owners with these types of cars like to call their love with the car a relationship. Some even call their cars mistresses. I'd assume that this relationship would have the car being a her if the driver/owner is a heterosexual male. Not sure why some women call them "her," but maybe someone knows.

A guy in my old carclub said "I decided my car's a guy, because he likes being stroked and blown." I thought that was kinda funny.

would you really want to get in "him", and take "him" out for a beating, let "him" throw you back in the seat, look in "his" hood (or trunk), let "him" give you all he's got?

i dunno about you, but thats not my cup o' tea

incidentally, i dont refer to my car as him or her in either case. but i have been know to yell "go faster bitc#!" so maybe its a her? but then again i yell that at other drivers too, with more frequency than i do at my car

I don't call my cars "her" or "she", except maybe as part of a joke. They're called "it" or by model, "the Porsche", "the Ferrari", "the 308", "the Turbo", etc.

One of my friends is from Russia and he always refers to his car as 'him'.
His dad has a boat and he also refers to it as 'him'. Same with his car.
I dont know if all Russians do this (they are the only Russians I know) but I always thought it was kinda strange.

Best be a 'her' so you can blame it on 'her'... what 'it' is.

With us men it’s all about sex so when something gets us excited we refer to it as a women….she (car, boat, plane etc….) is hot, it’s habit, because men never refer to other men as being hot or beautiful, we see a fine women and say she is gorgeous….most men wont even admit another guy is good looking so this is why subconsciously we say she with our cars…..whenever a guy says he we think that guys is talking about his friend….

I used to call my 93MR2 Turbo a she, Latoya because in French “la Toyota” means “the Toyota” so I mixed the two a bit to Latoya so it became a she….but my 04 Sierra 2500 crew 4X4 SLT is a he…I call him Bosco because my truck is a badass (taken from Maurice Boscorelli from Third Watch) Im not homophobic so I don’t give a ****

I've nicknamed my 308 "Benito" because that's the meanest, cruelest Italian I can think of (I don't count Romans), and Lord knows, my car is a bastard! I cuss HIM every time I take a screwdriver to him!

Perhaps I should rename it to "il duce"?

(Incidentally, my next car MIGHT BE Japanese then I'll own a car from each of the "Big 3" we crushed.)
