Why does my avatar keep getting deleted?

    I had the same avatar for the longest time, then noticed a week ago that it disappeared. So I figured it was because it included the Ferrari emblem. So I changed it to a picture of something else, and now that's been deleted. Just wondering what's going on.

    Avatars were previously a special benefit of subscribed users and mods would delete the avatars when subscriptions were not renewed. When the forum software got upgraded, it became a general feature available to all. But some of the mods didn't realize that and have still been deleting avatars for non-subscribed users. We'll try and circulate the notice more effectively.
