As I have posted on several occasions before, we know it was not Steve, and the possibility of a hack is absurd given that just one word was changed in one post, and it was the word fcars, and it was in a post that steve made. Rob has posted the log file which shows Andrew DID edit the post. Andrew has admitted to editing the post. His story about changing it and then changing it back is pathetic. All Steve and I want is an apology from Andrew then this can be closed.

Guys guys guys, in reference to the ****, all i can say is that i called F328GTS a **** as just minutes before he had called me a **** for absolutely no reason whatsoever. The first mention of this severely abusive word was mentioned in the "Come on Sweden" thread as you can see! Therefore Jason, I can understand you're point of view but you clearly didnt know he had called me it minutes earlier in a different UK thread. I completely agree with you, lets drop the whole thing as there is no proof and there never will be. I am just trying to get both the Steves and Nigel to admit that therefore they have no reason to continue asking Rob if he knows anymore. These guys are just trying to mess this place up and they will not succeed.
Yes and in the process destroying the UK section. I would put to theory that between your previous behavior, remember the Alamo battle, and what is going on currently that you are single handily more destructive to the FerrariChat UK forum than anyone else. Whether that is 5% or 50% of the problems I don't know and I still believe in living and let live except in extreme cases. I like most of your participation Steve and have no reason to ban you, but part of your participation in this community is so damaging and seems calculated to the point of being premeditated.
The other day I took a decision not to post again on this thread. That was on the basis that we would not find a solution and it was to no-ones benefit to keep this going. However, I feel compelled to come back again as this is now a personal slur on the person who was at the receiving end of the initial problem. Of course Steve feels agrieved - would you not? Should he not want justice? It appears that thse perpetrated against get the rough end of the. Perhaps in the courts defendants should be kicked and punched by the judge! Come on - you know better than that.
Ken, there comes a time when the court has to throw out the case due to lack of evidence, this is one of those cases. The defendent can complain and appeal as much as they want until they are thrown out of court. It is a sad fact of life as you know. They just need to move on as best they can. I did on Monday, an still do if those were the only facts, but there is the world of a difference between moving on because the casue is not proven and attacking the defendant in doing so. Not proven is probably the best way to describe this. The Scots amongs us will know the difference between this and not guilty.
I'm not trying to attack anyone specifically, just indicating I'm remaining balanced. Regardless of who edited the post AndrewG has been damaging to FerrariChat because of his personal battle with Fcars and Steve F has been damaging to FerrariChat because of his "miscommunications". I don't have evidence in either case they have done worse, so won't push it with lack of proof. That said AndrewG has added much value to FerrariChat.com and especially in the UK forum in the difficult past 6 months. Steve F is a long standing active user and has also added plenty of value. Live and let live for the most part.
In most democratic societies you are innocent until proven guilty. Certainly in the UK we have that right. In the past, when Rob Lay has made certain decisions, he was considered and labelled as a dictator. Who are we now to label people as "guilty but not proven". What kind of justice system is that???
My apologies mattymouse, you are correct I did not see the first "calling" off that word towards you. As funny as it seems, this seems sort of like a judicial event, the accusations, defenses, it seems like a better way to the US law system, even though we aren't 100% POSITIVE of who switched around the words. It seems like a better process.
Rob - If a mod edits a post and then changes their mind and cancels out without saving, hence leaving it "as it was", I assume there would be no entry in the log file as no change was made. Is this correct? If so, how does that explain that there was an entry on June 4th that shows that Andrew did indeed edit the post, and saved his changes:

You have to save the change for the log file, but I know the mods edited the thread, at least to remove the "retard'. Was that the June 6th edit?
If he changes then saves, a log is created. if he then decides to change back, the log is still there. That is what i have just confirmed
The removal of "retard" was before June 6 as evidenced by the date of the posts in the original thread.

This post http://www.thebestemployee.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135842038&postcount=5 on 5th June shows the word removed in the box above Spiderman's response. If it had not been removed on that date it would have appeared as a proper word in the response even when the original is subsequently amended.
