It takes some time before a well engineered kit comes out (upwards to 8 months to a year) Because of the R&D of the kits, they must first get hold of a Cali, and then restyle it then cast the tooling, and then start production, not only is it costly (upwards of 150-300K to get that done) then you must market it. I would say by fall maybe winter kits will start hitting market.

Those too are very hard to manufacture. to stand up to specific standards both safety and performance, it can take some time. For a high performance car, you do not want to get anything wrong. And the customers expect perfection so that is what must be given even if it takes time.

I am waiting for them to come out with body colored taped on pieces to cover up the side grill crease and that huge gaping hole in the rear end.....

Because the aftermarket accessories by these companies would probably cost more than the car.

Because neither Mansory or Novitec can come up with wheels fugly enough to work on a Cali!

i really think the usual big players need to come up with a new kit for the car and i mean a realli totally different kit to change the front n back especially, ferrari has always cum up with great cars but the looks of this 1 just didnt made it at all in my humble opinion...ermm... in my view, the 612 as well.. but it jus me...no offence to the owners... i really like how the 599xx looks now..tats a ferrari to me..

    what?

Back on topic, I'm not sure why not but i'm quite sure you can use for example wheels 'designed' for the F430 by novitec on the california. they will be the same PCD and with some luck the offset will work too.

The California was designed to be an everyday car and they had women in mind for it too. All of their other cars are flash and fast and exceptional, but not really for everyday use. The California is a bridge into another demographic and Ferrari deserves this car. I commend them on a job well done, even though I've yet to see up close and in person. I was at Ferrari/Maserati of New England today for a car show but their California was in Newport at another show. C'est la vie! Maybe next time.

Perhaps because women and gay men (the apparent target market of the Cali according to some really well informed FChatters) don't buy cheap add ons for their very expensive exotic automobiles, or perhaps because all the poseurs already bought 430's :)

I know of two companies that will have California parts soon.

I met with the owner of Novitec again last weekend and he told me the extensive path that it takes to make their wheels. They have $250,000 invested before the first set is sold. This is between molds, 150 sets of wheels that they have to buy at a time and many wheels that get "crash tested" and certified before they are ready to sell.

I don't think it's a modification that the cali would suit. It's all well and good on more hardcore cars like Scud or 599 but not for a convertable soft GT car.

Saw a photoshop with the 430 Challenge Rims on the California. It really made the car. Looked fantastic.

I believe the PCD of the California's wheels should be the same as the 599s/612s, i.e 114.3mm x 5 rather than the 430/360/355 etc's 108mm x5. Can't verify the fact but there are piccies on this site that shows the forthcoming 'new' 612 running on the Cali's 'standard' 5 spoker at the rear. Have seen some piccies of the 599 'whatever version's test mule' on the same 19" five spoker. To make it even more interesting, the F450 or whatever it is called (F142) have been caught on camera with the 599 CH front wheels and the same Cali 5 Spoke rears. Therefore, most prolly Ferraris from the California onwards will run the 114.3 PCDs as opposed to the 108s of yore.

The 599s CH wheels would be the dogs' nads on a Cali. The other'd be Novitec's 21" 599 modulars......

Note : Trivial fact, the 114.3 X 5 PCD is commonly used on Japanese cars, namely Toyota/Nissan/Mitsubishi......:p
That said, the 'former' 108 PCD was not an Fcar exclusive either. Volvo/Opel/Vauxhall and some Alfa Romeo (166, Berlina 2000/GTV 105 etc) cars uses the bolt configuration.

I don't know exact sizes yet but the owner of Novitec came to meet with me again two weeks ago and he told me that no wheels that they currently have would work on the California. So, they had to get all new molds and get those ready for the California. They will be the same style but just different sizes for the California.
