After flying through a snowstorm and then driving 2 hours from Boston to Maine in the same. I see that year round driving of my F-Cars would not possible in this part of the good old USA. Yeah it's pretty and the people are friendly enough. I just could not take putting my cars to bed for the winter. I'll enjoy my time here and take pitty on the owners in this corner of our country. Soon as I get home. I'm taking one of the babies out for a drive. I'll be sure to send a photo for all my comrades in the northeast so they don't forget what a Ferrari looks like outside of the garage!

That is cruel and unusual punishment! Took delivery of my new to me nero F355 spider before the snow! Have driven the car a total of 1/4 mile from the delivery point to my home!

    To each his own.

I left California because I COUNDN'T drive year round... well, certain hours at least ;) 405, 101, 710, 110... consistent parking lots when I'm off work.

Oh, and running sans cat (muffler even) is kosher out here :)

Who said you can't drive them just because its winter? Still some nice weather during the winter months and its not like a little snow/rain etc is gonna kill a car. california is ideal though

For the record California is not the only place that you can enjoy year around driving.

I don't think it's the wet roads that stop drivers, it's all the work in cold weather afterwords, to clean it again. I ONLY drive on clean dry roads in the Winter months for that reason but I DO drive it.
(washing a car when it's 30 degrees is no fun)

Ya don't have to leave CA to get out of that mess, just Smell A.

We do pretty much have it made as far as the year round driving goes. Couldn't imagine not being able to take a motorcycle ride or cruise in the F car for monthes at a time.

To each their own, every area has it's good and bad. Personally, if I were going to live in a warmer climate, it would be Florida. Too many liberals, smog, earthquakes and traffic congestion in Cali for me.

SC rocks. Year-round driving, and no state inspection. Can you say test pipes? Of course, there are property taxes to contend with. Paid $17 for the 328's taxes last year.

You may be able to drive your toys year-round, but how on Earth do you manage to breath that brown air? I had to cut short a business trip to Orange County last July because I could not breath that brown stuff and talk, so there was no point in my attending meetings. I just went home. Instant relief.

Really? California is an awfully big state. I lived in Maryland for a few years and in Pennsylvania for a few years, once I saw Monterey, Carmel, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach and Big Sur, I knew what part of California was for me :) As much as I enjoyed the other two states in the spring and fall, I hated the muggy summers and the cold winters.

I live in AZ. and I can drive year round but one of my favorite drives is in Cal. North of LA between Highway 1 and I-5 to Carmel. There is nobody on thoses roads during the week day very few roads or that deserted any time in AZ. It really is amazing people in Cal. prefer to park and bumper to bumper drive on I-5 rather than take those road. For all the people who like to drive in Cal. you would think people would be wanting to carve up those winding hilly roads, I guess traffic is what they seek out? to show other people what they are driving? so other people know how much fun they are having?, I really do not know.

We're getting a lot of the "half-backs" - Northerners who relocated to Florida, but then moved halfway back.
