I can't really compare to newer Ferrari's but the F430 is good just basic. It's the same rack as the 360 from what I understand but closer to the steering angle of the CS and ratio is fixed at 16:1 I think. The ratio is a little too tall for my liking and too assisted at high speed, something Porsche rectifies by reducing the ratio the more you turn off center and varies the amount of assist. Same with BMW M cars. Once you've tried either of these variable ratio and assist (speed driven or selector) hydraulic rack and pinion setups from the German's you might never feel Ferrari is lacking, but honestly they are. Even my basic b___h 135i with a rack taken from the E9x M3 at 14.5:1 felt better suited to aggressive driving.
