    No disrespect to the doctors on the board, but $350 / person for a weight, vision and urine check?!

    I guess I shoudn't be surprised given the generally high costs of flying, but...c'mon!!! - :mad:

    {Perhaps living in NYC is also a contributor}

    I think you're quoting "big city" prices :). My last medical in Norcal was around $160, though I probably wouldn't ***** for any bill under $200.

    I'm from Long Island, NY and my medical was no where near that amount of money ($350). It was about $70. It was for a 3rd class. Maybe 2nd and 1st class medicals are more?

    You guys are lucky ! My last medical discovered an abdominal aortic aneurysm. I got opened up like a fish being filleted. I can't tell you what THAT cost. Now they found a bad landing gear that I have to get fixed so I get to have new knees.

    I'm in your boat Switches.....
    But for different reasons. My Spec. Iss. medical, only cost me around $400.00, last Jan.
    It was the pre-med surgical costs that were humungous.. ( Just before 9/11.)
    Very close to 100 grand. ........Actually, $1,090.00 above it.

    But the old ticker hasn't given me, any sign it's even there, since.
    Just like in the past (smudged number) years!!

    Hmmm............. Is that why they call me Heartless??? ;) ;) ;)

    Maybe there's another reason.....? NAH! :) :) :)
