Why is there all this talk of GT4...

I love the game still playing it but all this talk of GT4 and no one said a word of GT5 well ill start it look amazing. I think it will be worth the price of the ps3 for that game, seeing as i bought the ps2 just to play GT3 i'm not joking. For you who havent seen the screen shots here they are

I've seen 3 of those 4 pictures before...a while back...and I think the consensus on another board was that they were of cinematic sequences and not actual gameplay.

 

I wouldn't put it past it being gameplay. The stuff on XBOX 360 looks pretty much like that, and I doubt the PS3 is that far behind in capabilities...

 

PS3 will be significantly ahead in its capabilities. Part of the reason its taking so long (Blu-ray technology mumbo jumbo). But also, from reports, pretty expensive.

Dont be suprised if the game looks alot better than those screen shots by the time it comes out. Preliminary shots usually show the game before its gone through the whole 'polishing' process.

 

Yeah, the track texture doesn’t look all that good, and the texture on the pit wall is really repetitive.

The car models are pretty cool though

 

I think the pics are from E3 05 so there pretty old but i still have yeat to see aything new
Good news more thatn 6 cars per race some say up to 20 and real time damage its about time

who cares? if it gets boring within a few hours of play again who cares how good it looks.

i had a few fun hours with it, but after that it became 'like a job' to play it and achieve stuff, and i realized i was no longer enjoying myself.

games nowadays showcase technology and style, but forget substance and fun. they could make something that's immersive 3D virtual reality, but if it doesn't give me the giggles i'd rather be down the pub throwing back beers with mates.

 

Ya, and check out that 'blue' building in the first picture. No textures have been placed on it yet. Just a basic building model. You can tell its still pretty early in development.

I'm guessing the model of the MC12 is more along the lines of what we can expect graphic wise.

 

I can sit and play GT4 for hours IDK it dosent get boring for me like like the racing and when a race seems to be to east i get into car thats not so great and see if i can still beat it. Plus you have to make it to 100%

 

THATS WHAT ARCADE MODE IS FOR!

 

It will be by far the best racing game EVER. Will it be worth the near $600 cost of a PS3, thats is yet to be seen.

btw I got a PS2 purely to pay GT3 and 4, so you're not alone.
