Jeff, call up FOW. They have a 1999 360 they want $148,000 for... Before I bought my 360 (2 months ago) I looked for 6 months. I couldn't get a 2001 below what it was when it was new. My local dealer is WWOC in NY. They have a few used 2003's. The least expensive one is $180K for a 6 speed car with 3K miles on it. The car was $158K when new. I agree that prices will fall, they just haven't yet for the 360. They have dropped a lot for the 550/575 and of course, the 456.
What they want and what they will get are two different things. I want 100k for my 355 spider--not likely going to get it. Of coarse the authorized dealers are out of touch. I don't know where you were looking but I see 99,00,01 coupes for much less than msrp.
LOL! Whats the Maser Cambiocorsa? And btw, the Audi RSR is just a prototype, Audi has already said it will not be released.
Finally, i have a 1997 Ferrari 355 Spider, 7,000 miles, absolutely perfect. lots of F1 Engineering and Ferrari Mystique. I want $200,000 for it! Any takers?
Agreed. I went into WWOC ready to buy a 2003 red/black 2003 copue that stickered for $158K. They wanted $185K. I had my bank on the phone ready to wire $170K to them and they wouldn't take it. That being said, I wouldn't buy a Ferrari unless it came from an authorized dealer. My 355 came from a dealer and before it was delivered (used 1995) they serviced the car and found out the valve guides were bad. They fixed it at no cost to me. The receipt I received had the work listed at $13,000.
Allan - Does your wife think you're Crazy (notice the proper use of you're and your). You're sitting in front of the computer and every 5 minutes you LOL. I can see it - type, type, type, type, LOL - those Ferrari sons of *****es - type, type, type, LOL. Is Lambo paying you to defend the marque - its admirable. Because the Gaylardo is certainly under attack recently. Murci seems to get props/respect but cant hold its value.
Without even looking, heres 2 360's both desirable, off of Ferrari ads, for substantially less. These prices are also asking prices. Both of which are drasticly off of MSRP. http://www.ferrariads.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/classifieds.cgi?search_and_display_db_button=on&db_id=883&query=retrieval http://www.ferrariads.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/classifieds.cgi?search_and_display_db_button=on&db_id=876&query=retrieval $134,000 for a 2000 model, with lots of extras, 5,000 miles. Gee i wonder what the dealer is giving? This without me even looking for a car. Wonder what id find if i really wanted one.
The Gallardo is only under fire from insecure baffoons. I guess i too would be pissed off if i had a girly 360 that gets stomped by every other car. The Gallardo gets nothing but good press, and virtually every article says it blows the Ferrari away. As for my wife thinking im crazy, not really. She trying to convince me to dump the 355 and buy her a H2. Lambo need not pay me, this is fun, i do it for free.
really? i'm shopping for a 512BBi, and good ones are going for 75 to 80k... just about what they were new,... 20 years ago. and a 288 GTO was about 90k in 1994... and is about 300k now.
Oh boy, here we go. Well no kidding. 512bbi, can be had for much less than 75-80 k. 60,000 get you a nice one. I can say the same for an early Countach. How about a Muira. Do you think they made more 360's or 512BB's? Use your head.
Have I missed something here. Everyone is happy to go on about 360 resale Vs Lambo and how well a two or three-year-old car holds it's value but haven't heard much about the 456/550/575 and their resale. Why is that?
Because some of the guys here really talk out of their a$$, as they have here with quoting 150,000 resales on 1999 360's. If they tried resale on the others theyd really look rediculous. Last guy tried it on a 2003 575M and i found a pristine example for 175,000.
What do you mean? I didn't buy a 550/575/456.... The price of anything including 360's is dictated by supply and demand.
Well big money, why dont you just snap up one of the 360's i listed which are newer, low miles with options, for far less than you quoted for a 1999.
Regarding Allan. No one on the island has ever seen any of his cars. No one knows of him or his wife. I am guessing that the great and glorius Allan is combing his toupee in front of a mirror in Birmingham Alabama. The next big race is fictional as well. Can you say farce?
No, you bought a 360. And you got bent over. Lets have this conversation again in 6 months also, when youre really crying the blues.
