If it was a true US car, yes it would be worth more. lol (worst salesman) i have to laugh at that lol But it was originally a euro car and Grigio Alloy is a hard color to sell. Not masucline, but it is so beautiful. 160?? 2001 360 US car with 4000 miles red tan...yes 160...retail more like 170 but realistic not Ferrari Dealer gouging 160. lol
My statement clearly said 550/575/456/barchetta. Boxers are certainly readily available in the low 60,000's. For an older Ferrari, they are not very desirable. I really have a Ferrari, and you dont have to worry about me ever driving it, because the image Ferrari now has, i dont want to keep. If it was the image it had when it made the Boxer, i may drive it more often. So please, learn to read.
LOL - you shoulda sold it to Allan. A girly euro 360 spider with a girly color. Perfect for his wife and he would a paid you $130K and got to brag about the deal he got on Fchat.
A very expensive but cool looking Door stop lol (Technically Euro cars converted are now US cars, and they all come from europe anyway lol) Shady dealer talk lol
Allan, Yes the SVs in the UK have alcantara, and it looks hideous. I can imagine the US cars are better specced, usually are lol. We get quite a raw deal in the UK, although prices in the US seem to be on the expensive side. Diablo 6.0 interior one of the best I've ever seen on any car. It is fantastic. I didn't make it very clear, but I went for a black 360 spider, with shields, and red calipers, electric daytona seats yada yada yada. Paid list price £119KGBP, its July 2003 car with 900 miles. I do think the 360s, especially very late coupes, will take a battering on the market, which seems to be the opinion of the honest dealers too. Facelift will be here soon, and therefore prices will drop like rock. Spider should hold a bit better for longer, as the replacement is a year or two after the hardtop. After that it will plummet. Same scenario as the 355 before it. Hopefully I'll be out of this car by then. I just got so bored of the 355, that I needed a replacement. Really wanted a Diablo 6.0 or Murcielago, but it doesn't suit my circumstances (it wont fit comfortably in the garage for a start, and yes, I am now looking for a house with a BIG double garage lol) Prefer the 360 spider to Diablo in hindsight, on looks alone anyway, merely because it looks less dated (I also think the 355 is a prettier car, but looks REALLY dated in my view). BTW, I didn't collect magazine articles and write ups, they usually contain irrelevant crap that they later totally contradict anyway. No, I spoke to a lot of garages and mechanics, and one resounding answer was that the murcielago was/is fantastic value for money!! lol at £170KGBP, thats a mighty statement.
So typical of little a...holes,loose an argument and resort to name calling, when have nothing else to say. Enjoy yourself in your bathroom with the latest test of a Lambo on your lap.
LOL! First off, no arguement to lose at, and second of all, if i want a Lambo test, i need only to step into my garage. Not everyone lives life the way you do.
Excellent review of the Gallardo; however, he got it wrong on the Murcielago's styling being of Italian descent. The car was designed by Belgian, Luk Donkerwolcke.
No they are not the most pricey. try http://www.beverlyhillsclassiccars.com/ Come on Allan, it is LA, it is Beverly Hills, everyone has extra 20-30k to give away
Simply from a styling point of view, I do like the Gallardo very much. I've seen it up close and it is absolutely stunning. I just think it is a little too pricey. And its not stunning like a Bangle (ugly). Its stunning as in schoolchildren point at it and go "wow!". Secondly, the dealer network is very poor. I think someone already suggested something about some Audi dealers becoming official Lamborghini centres - that would really help. Audi aren't stupid. I'm sure they will address this in the future. So if Audi addresses the price and the network, I think it could be a very big seller. Until then.. who knows. I'm sure it will still hit targets.
My neighbor has a 575 and had a 550 before that, and everytime I see it I lament the passing of the TR-type models that came before. The old guys here with Daytonas on the brain are happy with the Maranello because of the packaging, but anyone under 40 can't possibly like this bland and boring design over a 360. And that's not saying much because the 360 isn't as striking or good looking as the 355 it replaced.
Im 23 and i love the Maranello. Looks tons better than the 360 ( which i also love but more because its a blast to drive ..). The Maranello is very aggresive and yet is classy. The TR's were also amazing but in a different way. Gotta have them all..
I'll tell that to all the kids, and adults that flip out at the sight of the car when I drive by. I thought I was getting thumbs-up. Maybe They're using another finger.
My NSX-T gets the same response from the same kids and non-informed adults, but you put it and a 550 next to a Gallardo at a car show and which one gets 95% of the attention? A: Gallardo. Hell your 550 may not even draw as many lookyloos as the old-a$$ Honda!
