Car is located in Oz with Maranello Motorsports.

There is a discrepancy in asking prices, IIRC.

If I were a serious buyer, I'd go directly to Mark.

But, fair point. Is there something wrong with the price? Don't know. This car used to belong to a friend of mine. I'm not aware of any issues with it.

Sheehan wanted £1.1 mill and marenello wants $1.1 mil us so yes a little discrepancy in asking prices. Still not sure why it hasn't sold.

I don't think so. ALL pure race cars have limited usability, but there are many in the multi-millions. I agree, however, that there is a smaller universe of potential buyers for cars such as an F40LM or GTE. It's likely either going to be a matter of finding the one buyer at the asking price or a function of discounting.

Auction pricing is, also, somewhat suspect. It's well known that there are shill bidders. Even at the best of the high end auctions, it's always possible that the price hammered isn't truly legitimate.
