I'm not sure if there are any to my knowledge there are none but why hasn't any one made technical videos for the 348 or 355 like how to do an oil change, how to fix sticky parts, changing gear oil, the removal of the back end, engine removal, exhaust removal and fitting, doing the major, how to check your belts, how to lower raise your car, how to check and read the error codes etc etc etc.

Yes this site is amazing and all you have to do is ask and you shall receive but I know that I would spend $100 easy and up to $500 to have such a video in my possession where it shows me and takes me threw everything step by step with detailed video
and I will bet that there are a few more hundred that feel the same way.

Now that being said if anyone has such a thing let me know and if such a thing does not exists I would be very interested in helping produce such a DVD and if any of you are interested PM me and if any of you steal this Idea I hope you like to swim with the fishes.

Now I can't think of any one better than PAP to host except we would have to dub over his voice.....:p

    or

    Angelis

    or?

Funny you mention this----I need to remove my door panels again and was going to do a video step by step on how. Would seem to be much easier than stopping and taking pics and then a write up...I was going to have the GF run the vidcam while I took everything apart and explained what I was doing. Then maybe uploading it to video google and sending the link to anyone who needed to know how to do it... If we can get a bunch of vids like this---Would there be a way to combine all them and burn to a dvd?

This is a great idea, I think the only reason it hasn't been done yet is the editing time. To be useful we need to just highlight the main steps. Although watching me swearing trying to get the clutch housing back on would be good entertainment :)

I still like the pic/write up format as there is no need to rewind or pause and can easily be printed . Though there are some vids that I've been collecting for future editing... ;)....... I think it is a great idea and anyone can contribute clips as they do work on their cars??

Because there is nothing technical about 348/355 cars. They're a bucket of nuts 'n bolts wrapped in a little Italian gift box.

I'd be interesting in participating in something along these lines too. I'd prefer to see a single manual though, as it's nice to print it out and then bring it to the shop with pics and specs. I created a (very simple) writeup at http://trentonline.com/pdfs/FerrariF355DIY.pdf that I posted a while ago. I was thinking of scanning the forums for good writeups and followup comments and adding them here, but I was afraid someone would take offense to their work being swiped. I'd love to see a "front-to-back" DIY manual that starts with a buyer's guide and ends with a detailed workshop manual for the weekend warriors. I also have the workshop manuals as PDFs and it claims that the contents are public domain (??). I'd really love to help demystify the Ferrari and show avid owners that it's still "just a car"... albeit a special one. I can start and host a wiki where everyone could post/edit writeups and then add them to the pdf.

Who cares the message still got across, now I think that everyone making individual videos and posting them on You tube is a good Idea but THERES MONEY TO BE MADE HERE! Sure let's all do random videos of one thing or another and after a year or two we can get a professional to edit and structure the DVD for SALE let me repeat that FOR SALE. We can give away all the asked questions for free on this site and that's great but I think that a video production version would appeal to a lot of people or new 348/355 owners, come on I know there are a few entrepreneurs out there.

Ps Daniel sorry about your voice maybe you should switch to bourbon does wonders for me...:)

Since everybody is online these days why don't we just make a website with all the movie guides and write-up's we can find? I think that we could collect alot of good stuff realy fast! Anyone in for that project?

I was just joking with Carbon about the school marm thing. :)

Regarding the video thing, y'all might want to round up with Sy @ www.fgear.tv. He has spoken to me at length about this kind of project, and might be a good resource for professional development of the idea.

+1. I think that printing and being able to discuss a static pic on the forum where you can circle things to point them out is the way to go. On the otherhand, videos would be great to show a technique like how to properly polish a car or something like that.
