why so cheap?

Anybody know ths car? Seems like a real good price for this model. Doesnt say when the belts were done. I havent seen 348 this low that didnt need a ton of work. Any comments?

The exhaust is also not sitting perfectly straight, but that is an easy fix.

That car has been in an accident. I do not know how serious, but you can see the obvious overspray under the rear bumper. It also has an interior that looks a little tired. Still could be a pretty good deal.

i would assume adding another $10k for belt service, maybe a touch more... belts, clutch, water pump, etc...

 

Price is about right for an early car with no upgrades and... OMG it's getting close to 30k miles, when Ferraris self-destruct & or the factory confiscates them.

Yes. Unless the lower suspension parts and exhaust are reflecting red pavement (not) I see overspray. I'm almost surprised not to see red paint on the rear tires. The shop must have been out of masking paper when the painting was done. Plus, this car was discussed previously and the accident had been mentioned. It had been bought at a recent auction for around $35k, and although it was noted to e in the green lane (IIRC), I think Husker noted that the car had been wrecked.

Thanks for the link... I saw that the muffler looked red, but it's so OBVIOUS that I figured it must be an anomoly in the photograph. That is such a bad paint job!!! They should've painted the exhaust tips, too

WOW - Today I can really see the poor quality of the interior (after comparing it to photos of my interior)! In fact, the seats in that auction look to be re-upholstered, unless the early 348 seats came without the "floating" butt cushion (like my 94 Spider) and the gap between seat bottom & back is too big on those photos.

And I just noticed the odd radio cover.

And the wavy dash lines.

Wow...

The real question now is - "Why so expensive?"

 

Yes, the early 348 have the seat bottom cushion stitched without the gaps. I prefer it, unless you have a newer 348 with seats in excellent condition or of course the CF seats...
