What exactly does the trade price of 456's and the stock price of Yahoo have to do with Murcielago's? Anyone who actually thought Yahoo was actually worth 145 was on crack, so predicting the fall of Yahoo stock is no significant accomplishment. You, and about 5 million other people predicted the fall of Yahoo stock.

If "it has nothing to do with the car", do you also predict that all $200K+ exotics will sell for 20% below invoice cost? I don't know of a single car on the planet that could be had for 20% below invoice cost, regardless of price bracket. Interesting that the Murcielago would be the first car to meet this criteria.

So, back to your Murcielago prediction. In October of 2004 (6 months from now), I should be able to buy a new 03 Murcielago with delivery miles for $200K. If that is possible, I would like you to contact me, and I will not only buy one, but I'll pay you a $5,000 finders fee. I don't even care what color it is, because for that price, I'll get it custom painted if I don't like the color.

    I won't hold my breath.

Murcielago's are produced at a steady 400 units per year, with no plans for an increase. Where the heck are you getting your production figures from?

Napolis could be right you know.

I could have bought you a new 2003 here in Canada for $240 USD two months ago when you were looking for yours. We talked about the car if you remember. In six months it's winter and the 2005's will be out.

Never, ever will a new murci be close to 200k.You dont find 02's with heavy mileage there yet.Be realistic here.

No offense, but whoever thought they could buy a new 2003 for 200k is diluted! you cannot purchase a 2002 for that wholesale. They produce less than 400 units a year. The 2k unit production is a compilation of the Murci and the Gallardo. Napolis, I futher the other guys offer. Find me a 2003 Murci for 200k and I will pay you a 10k finders fee, I also will not hold my breath. I just think that people that have never driven that car just do not understand how incredible that it really is. Consequently, I just sold a 2003 with 1700 miles for 240k. This was a used car in exemplary condition with no issues and all updates.

YHOO didn't stop at 145 it went to 161. On that day some were long. Others were short. For both groups it was fairly significant. (Not sure how many of the 5 million you referred to were short it would be interesting to know.)
VW didn't buy Lambo to keep production steady. If they don't increase total production significantly Lambo will be a huge loss for them.
The 456 shows us how much and how fast one can lose money being long certain cars at MSRP.
Invoice as my friend from the North country knows is not as solid a number as a quote for 2 year treasuries.
Floorplan, overhead, etc., does add up. 240K is already below your invoice #.
    Never happen?
That's something I no longer say.
Enjoy your car. It's a good one.

5K per year is the number VW is/was hoping to get to. I've driven the car. It's fine. Incredible? Compared to what? An Enzo? A CGT? A Ford GT? A McLaren? An F40? A MC 12? What ever it is or isn't, a hot seller it's not and the price of cars that aren't only go in one direction. Hey you're at 210K. KDS is at 240K we're getting close.

All this haggling about where the price is or isn't going I know I shopped for my new one, bought it March 19 and all I could do is get it at sticker. I hope I'm not so stupid that I could of saved $100K. Also I'm shocked about the track times don't mean anything comment, get a grip thats the perfect comparison tool for a vehicles all around performance; acceleration, cornering, breaking...good times are good times all on a track that even cadillac is using to perfect their cars. I love Ferrari more then about anyone I know IMO but numbers ARE important and track numbers at least to me mean alot...Ferrari also must feel they're important since they wanted a 3 second a lap improvement for the Stradale. If it were a Stradale or the next gen. 420 (for which I'm one of the first on the list for) that lapped the ring faster then a GT2 thats all we'd be reading about.

I will concede after the lap time rant that I never saw a car that holds it value like an 8 cylinder Fcar I'll always own one for that reason.

At the current exchange rate, that would mean you could have sold me a new 03 for $321,600. Unless I have an incredibly bad memory, I was never offered a new Murcielago for $321,600 Canadian funds. The numbers we were talking about were substantially higher than that.

Sorry, but the $240K number is not real. No disrespect to KDS, but I was never offered a car at that price. Besides, KDS is referring to Canadian market cars, which is a completly different market than the US.

So, you had to be an active trader in Yahoo stock at that time to know that they were overpriced? The smartest ones were the ones who aren't listed on your trading volume reports.

5K of what products? The Murcie is at 400 steady. Unless you know something we don't (which I highly doubt).

Compared to what? Who said compared to what? What's your issue? If you have comparisons with those cars, enlighten us.

Once again, talk to me in October. I'll have your money waiting. Or better yet, let's make a wager. You find me a new 03 for $200K, I'll pay you $5,000 finders fee, plus $5,000 for you winning the wager. If you can't get a car for $200K, you pay me $5,000. Sound fair? Let's see how confident you are about your predictions.

I would like to buy that car.I will pay you a finders fee for turning it to me.A low mileage, non damaged murci for 195.Lets do it!!!I have been looking for 6 months, and cant get close to that. The murci market is very small,if there are 2 cars out there at 195 well.that would be amazing. One is yours,a non-frame damaged,no stories car,and one is the 195k car that Chris at lambo/atlanta knows about with frame damage. Please pm me asap. Thanks A.J.

I dont have enough time behind the wheel of a murci to be able to compare well.I drove 3 murci's,and enjoyed the experience. The 6.0 is the most incredible exotic that I have owned. My particular car,an se,has a factory short gear installed,so the acceleration is mind boggling to say the least.I consistantly get 0-60 times in the 3.3-3.4 range. The 4wd makes the handling terrific, but it was a bit heavy until I trimmed 150lbs off it.I will keep the 6.0 for along time.I actually would use the Murci more of an everyday car, based on the feel when I drove them. They inspire more confidence.

IMHO the Ring because of it's length and difficulty is a fine place to develop a car but a poor place to compare different ones. The Murcie does fine against most cars in mag racing including the 360 but I still doubt the racing version of (GTR) will be finishing 1 OA or even first in class at a real race any time soon. As it would be great for the sport if it did I hope I'm wrong.
If KDS is correct about offering a new 03 Murcie for $240k US I think paying MSRP may have been a bit high.

"I could have bought you a new 2003 here in Canada for $240 US two months ago when you were looking for yours. We talked about the car if you remember."
    KDS
"Sorry, but the $240K number is not real. No disrespect to KDS, but I was never offered a car at that price."
    Clax
Both of these statements can't be correct.

"I just think that people that have never driven that car just do not understand how incredible that it really is"
    Chris
"Compared to what? Who said compared to what? What's your issue? If you have comparisons with those cars, enlighten us."
    Clax
IMHO in their day the Muria and CT broke new ground and were incredible but the Murcie isn't in the same league as those two were in their day and the Enzo or CGT are today. VW's racecars the Speed Eight Bentley and the R8 Audi are and I very much doubt that any one including Ferrari will beat them in the near future.

"5K of what products? The Murcie is at 400 steady. Unless you know something we don't (which I highly doubt)."

Do you really think that if they could sell more than 400 Murcie's they wouldn't build them? They have the capacity. Why wouldn't they? As for what I do or don't know about car co.'s our ownership position in Lambo's former parent, the price we bought it and the price we sold it is public record. It wasn't the worse trade we ever made.

Wagering as you know is illegal so we'll just have to see. If KDS is correct we're only 40K away. I still think an unsold 03 6 speed in the dead of winter that will then be 2 years old will trade at the price I predicted. On another note I also predict that the 40th SE's will be around for a while as well and won't sell except at a discount to MSRP something that won't be happening with the MC 12's.
