    I can say on the GT cars with PCCB there is only mm of space between the front wheel spoke and the caliper face. Between the caliper and the inner wheel there is a bit more but it's very tight and not easy to put on the wheel (non center lock) without scraping the caliper. 19 inch wheels

    It is a convertible ... cruising along with the top down, waving at people, does not require big brakes. Porsche got it right.

    You can have too big of brakes. If you have more braking power than the tires can handle, then it's wasted with just lock up. You have to also consider the weight that it adds unsprung weight.
