Only those that take the risks make it happen.

That is probably the understatement of existence... If you play it safe, you'll reap the "safe" rewards... But there are no real rewards without risk...

“WHY TIP-TOE THROUGH LIFE JUST TO ARRIVE ALIVE AT DEATH?”

Because one’s shoes are too tight?

Because arriving dead at death is technically very, very difficult?

Because he who dies in the best health wins?

I've never really been a "motto" kind of guy. While I agree with the philosophy of living life to its fullest, I do still want to arrive alive at death rather than laying on my back suffering from some painful, long-term illness that could have been minimized by a little bit of tip-toeing:)

That almost seems kinda worthless... Maybe I'm being brash... But I don't want to die filthy rich... I want to have run through every dime I had, making sure I'd left enough for my predecessors to enjoy... I don't want to die in perfect health either (of course, my friends can tell you that will never happen)... Some scars, maybe one less kidney and a smokers cough seem pretty reasonable... :)

I don't want to die with millions of dollars in the bank... I want to live life to the fullest, make sure I've put enough aside for all of my friends and then enjoy the rest...

My favorite quote on the subject at hand:

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!'" -Hunter S. Thompson

He who dies with the most toys wins!

I want an empty bank account at the end, not a coin left in there. I have done lots of things I shouldn't have, the wrong women, the endless cash on booze and parties but it is all worthwhile. If you want to do something, bloody well do it - this isn't a rehearsal for anything - this is IT!

I'm going crazy trying to place this quote. It's similar to this but may not be exactly worded this way :

"All who live, die. But not all who die have truly lived."

but it'd be like doing a marathon, but only walking until the last 500 yards and then sprinting.

hey look i'm soon to hit 30, and in a small way i can already say "jeez i wish i hadn't partied so much when i was younger as i'd have the capacity to do and have a lot more stuff now". yay, my life was a rollercoaster of mediocrity.

am i supposed to wait a few more decades for my life to begin... when is the best time for it to be now?
