I'm in it now. My wife understands to give me space during these trying times.

He is obviously not a stooge. We stooges feel so lucky to have a woman's touch that we would never ignore her like that. F-car does not start? Meh, the stooges will take care of that. Wife wants a divorce? End of F-car life as we know it.

Change the plugs, fire it up, give it an Italian tune up, then jump back into bed.

Yes. Very funny. For me even more, since I experienced exactly this in my thirties and early fourties.
But somehow when approaching age of fifty and after it wore off and I never experienced such bad moods again when technical things went wrong. Side effect was: fun increased.

BTW, my wife loves to assist when I work on my cars and I need an additonal pair of hands or smaller fingers than mine.
There's an important parameter in any hobby: WAF (wife acceptance factor)

    Best Regards
    Martin

I have to say that I really never lose sleep over the Ferrari not starting. Eventually, it always starts.
