Interesting that the photo at the top says 'free shipping' in a little orange circle,
but the description says 'buyer responsible for shipping' - I can see a dispute brewing...

I think an even bigger question is why he thinks he can get $2k for them! I think I've seen a set of 4 for under $500!

I just went outside and took this pic. :D:D

I smashed the RHF wheel into a pothole. It damaged the rim, of course.:rolleyes:

I sent the rim away to get repaired while I was on holidays over the last 3 weeks. :):)

Went down on Monday to pick it up, no problem. Rim repaired, cost me $180. :(:(

Anywho, the clowns have LOST my tyre! They have been looking all week for it, they cant seem to find it. So ****s me what will happen now. I guess they will have to replace it. Trouble is, the tyre was around half worn, so I dont know what I/we should do about it. :):)

Gutted :( They will have to pony up for the tire brother, they loose it, they pay. How do you loose a tire?

Looks like it could do with a wash, and whats the oil leak? Main seal?

Pap- Buy one new one to go with the new one they owe you and use the old LF tire as your spare. Make them pay for mounting and balancing on both front wheels. Then put the new ones on the rear. Want to know how to suck eggs, too?

I have to admit I started to laugh out loud as I read your post. You have some great war stories. Wonder where your tire went? That car looks like a cross between a Volvo and a Ford. Nothing like that over here then. Might have sold if there had been. What engine is in it? We had to import your Holdens and call them GTOs and G8s to pump some new blood into Pontiac. Now the Pontiac brand may die. Maybe we should call them Holdens and just import them? GM can be so dense at times.

What do the rest of you have against purple wheels? Some people have no color sense at all, I declare.

Heya mate, I went past there this morning and he told me that he would give me a new FREE tyre to replace that one that was lost. :D:D

My old one was around 25-35% worn I reckon. Was also around 3-5 years old. :):)

He started fitting the new tyre to my repaired rim, but it kept leaking air. He dunked it and noticed it was leaking around the bolts. It is a 3-piece rim and it has an o-ring in there to seal it all up.:rolleyes:

He called the guys that repaired it on the Gold Coast. They told my friend to send the wheel back and they will repair it. At their expense of course. But........that means I will have to wait another 2-3 weeks to get my wheel back and fit it on my car. :(:(

Lucky I have 3 other cars to drive and have access to a few more. ;);)

Also, because he is giving me a new free tyre, I told him I replace the LHF one as it is actually BALD. So may as well have 2 new front tyres to go with the 2 new rear tyres I fitted a few months ago. :D:D

Yeah man, havent washed it in a while. Been sitting there for 3-4 weeks now like that. Transmission oil leaking out because the car is on that angle.:rolleyes:

GREAT idea and that is what I am doing mate. ;);)

I am actually mates with him, so we get along just fine. He is looking after me. :):)

Will have 2 new fronts to with 2 new rears that I will keep on there for another 10+ years.:eek:

(The LHF is bald and is around 11 years old I reckon. :D:D)

Some funny **** there mate! :D:D

****s me where that tyre is, probably out the dump or on some "locals" car. ;);)

My car has a rebuilt 4.1L 6 cylinder EFI Ford engine in it. The trans was also rebuilt around 10 years ago. :):)

This is my 1st car. Have had it since I got my licence when I was 17 yrs old in 1997. I dont think I will be parting with it anytime soon. :D:D
