    On the way to Madison or Minnesota for business I always spot this little dealer out of the corner of my eye just off I90. During the summer they had a gun metal color 308 sittting center of their odd little collection. Being close to Chicago, is this a car of someone we know?

    It puzzles me the fate of this car, sitting along the highway in the harsh Wisconsin weather. As mentioned previously, I saw a euro spec 360 a during the summer with a simple True Value "For Sale" tapped on the window on Northwest Highway in Barrington like it fell off the back of a truck. Strange location for a $150,000 car.

    I've looked at this car. I first saw it for sale by a very small dealer (just regular cars/trucks) in a very small central WI town...sorry don't remember the town. They wanted like $25K for the car. I stopped by the place, started it and drove it out of their storage garage just to get a better look. They mentioned it had a small oil leak they couldn't locate but it started right away and seemd to be in pretty good condition (wouldn't say great).
    Anyway, that had to be in the summer of 2002 (if not 2001). Shortly after I saw it in that small town I noticed it at this Viconic(?) place while on my way to Janseville, WI. They have had TR kit cars, a few real 308's but the place seems a little strange to me.
    Anyway, at one point I think they were asking something like $35-$36K for the car...obviously it's been sitting there for a while. Car seemed descent...wasn't worth $35K, besides sitting for perhaps 2 years it's probably priced right now in the mid $20K's.

    The last time i drove by, about two weeks ago, thay had no cars left it look like thay went out of business. When did you last see it ?

    Kevin, last time I saw it was the start of summer. I drive by that area about twice a month and yes, it appears if its out of business. Since they seem like a little used car lot and deal with a lot of boats, maybe they're just going slow or having a break due to the changing seasons. Their website is still up anyway.

    The lot has been around for a few years and thay always have had some cars year round. The 2 f-cars you talked about were there for a really long time.

    I used to drive by there twice a month, not recently.
    Its a much nicer drive from Chicago to Madison via Milwaukee.
    Was an interesting color 308, seemed to rot outside for a long time. Hope it found a nice home.
