    I was watching a stream over the weekend on my laptop, using the laptop's battery as the power source. The stream kept freezing up. When the battery got low, I plugged the laptop in, and the from that point on, the stream came in perfectly.

    Is it just my imagination, or does plugging a device in versus running off of the battery affect it's ability to receive a strong internet connection?

    You may have a "Speed Step" processor or something similar. To save battery life, the processor is slowed down when on battery. Hence the jittering video. You can disable it by checking "always on in you power settings.

    Deep in the settings menu it may be labelled something like;

    "Optimize for best battery life" or
    "Optimize for performance".

    Once you find the right menu it'll be pretty obvious.

    Cheers,

    You also have Windows default power saving settings for the wireless card to look at. You want to uncheck "allow Windows to turn off this device" to start with. If you have something like the Intel wifi panel you would want level 0 which provides maximum wireless performance.

    You can increase the life of laptop battery,when laptop battery battery full charge then you must plug out from the power.And you are not use wi-fi then must close wi-fi setting.
    and if processor used is very less then increase battery life.
