Anyone have any preferences between the 2 dealerships? So far, Mike in Service at F of C NJ has been a pleasure to deal with but it just occurred to me that Wide World is closer to my office...

    Thanks.

I've dealt with Wide World even though Central NJ is closer to me.... I just found them to provide better service. When I walked into Central NJ they kind of dismissed me as a potential owner, and that turned me off significantly-

You'll find love for both facilities here.
    I've experienced both.
Some swear by Justin at WWoC
Mike at FoCNJ and the crew are spectacular.

My favorite of late is Steve at Arena Motors.
He's close by me, No matter how busy he is, he'll take the time to explain things
and he's up-front & honest & stands behind his work.

FoCNJ ticked me off when they were "too busy" to check my car for 5 days when it was flat bedded in with a dead battery. Not the WWoC is perfect.

Personally I don't own a F-car (mines much more reliable :) ), but I've been to both facilities, and have friends that have used both as well. I know some people who swear by WWOC and others that swear at them. Don't know of anyone who's complained about FOCNJ, they're incredible from the front door, to the service bay.

See this post - http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=186038 - it says it all why Ferrari of Central New Jersey is incredible

Here is an excerpt from my post there, FWIW -

Ferrari did a great job making sure they get a premium for they cars. Some dealers think they are above the brand and start to act like they cant be touched my point is it does not hurt to be nice to every one with respect because you never know where it will take you.

    My Post -

Well said and really THE point - When it comes to the auto business, greatness, respect, top service and civility is part of a dealership's DNA -

The Entire Ferrari of Central New Jersey Team is awesome - from the moment you walk in the door or call on the phone, you are the highest priority. That runs from the receptionist, to Chris, to Tom, to Nelson, to the entire service department. At every level of engagement - intro, sale, orientation, service, trade-in, etc. they are top notch.

Others may try, but life is too short - these folks have sustainable credibility - meaning they don't just talk the talk, they walk the walk - and have been doing so for many years. This is the Jewel of the The Penske Automotive Organization and for good reason.

Wide World of Cars... They sell Ferraris? Sounds like they sell used Dodges and Fords. They don't even have 'Ferrari' in their name!

Remember that the sales & service operations at a given dealership are essentially two different businesses...

Both FoCNJ and WWoC have top-notch service departments -- they've both worked extensively on all of GDC's vehicles and have done great jobs. Mike, Mark & Nelson over at FoCNJ are the bomb, and Kevin & Justin @ WWoC are fantastic.

When it comes to sales, though, FoCNJ is the only choice. We've purchased several Ferraris and more recently our first Maserati all from FoCNJ, and the process has been nothing but terrific.

WWoC, on the other hand, gave us one of the most disappointing and underhanded sales experiences we've ever had. Sold us a car, shook hands with us, then turned around and sold it to a higher bidder a day later, then tried to damage our reputation with Ferrari North America, then to top it all off acted like we were in the wrong for trying to buy a car in the first place. Totally JV.

Lemme guess... Was that squirrelly salesman Nick involved on the sale??? He has done several F-Chatters wrong before.

And the previous service manager at WWoC, Jim Murphy, got sideways with me thanks to Robi Fry-A-Clutchi shooting his big mouth off to him about where I had just had my TR major service done. But thankfully JM left and WWoC's service is now run by Justin who is pretty cool  .

So, to sum it up, WWoC service is OK. But WWoC sales are horrible

Have used WWoC for 88' TR up to now. Currently the TR is at Bill Pollard's Sport Auto in CT. Bill is great is deal with and has pointed out some things WWoC may have not done correctly over the years. WWoC employs some young kids in there service department so you may not always get the best guy. Justin is great to deal with - a straight shooter.

Sales at WWoC is questionable. I have heard things about Nick that are not so great. Joan does seem good, but like all car salesman will push the limits if you let her.

I have no experience at FoCNJ.

I strongly reccommend Bill Pollard at Sport Auto in CT if you have a car up to 512M. He does deal with 348, 355, 360 or newer.

Dealt with Justin Stewart at WWoC per recommendations from other fchatters. Straight up guy, very nice and actually returns emails and calls!!! Went to take care of 2 open campaigns on my '00 Modena - variator and OBDII. Found my f was leaking oil and needed a cam seal, set me back $1350.

Also, Steve Arena used to be the service manager at WWoC. He knows Justin pretty well. I called Steve when I had the oil leak and he gave WWoC a call for me. Def made me feel better about getting the cam seals done...

I have dealt with FOCNJ and had no problems with Nelson or Mike. You can also check out Classic Coach. Many local people swear by them. They have an open house on April 12th. I will be going down there with a few other Ferrari Owners to check them out. I have heard Frank and Onfrio (sp?) are very knowledgeable. Pietro knows them very well and highly recommends them. I have had no dealings with WWoC but I have heard mixed reviews.

    Best of Luck,

    Shawn

If you are looking to service your Ferrari, Justin at WWoC will provide you with great customer service; and you will also be happy with the actual repair work. I used WWoC for years precisely because I was unhappy with a dealer closer to me.

I can only say this,I have had one conversation with a salesperson @ Fof CJ and can say he was very responsive to a question I had about a roll bar in a stradale, mind you he didn't know me from adam.
As far as WWOC Justin is a pleasure to deal with,he handles himself in a professional manner and I have found him to be attentive to my concerns.
The Sales manager/Owner Micheal Mastrangelo is top shelf.

Before I bought I visited every F-car dealer in the Tri-State area, except FOCNJ.

I thought WWOC was a little high on asking price. When I made an offer on one 360 F-1 Modena they said that they would replace the cluch because, "inspecting it for wear is nearly as expensive as replacing it." Later, I discovered that an F-1 clutch can be inspected and reported on by computer, no physical work required at all. Maybe I misunderstood what the salesperson was saying.

Later I relied on Miller Motor Cars in Greenwich (only a few miles further away than WWOC) for service. I liked them at the Lime Rock FCOA event. Miller delivered my car on time as promised. I got a hood nick driving to/from Miller Motorcars on I-95 following the ubitquious trucks. I decided to try a closer dealer.

Next service I went to WWOC for cosmetic body work. They kept the car about six weeks. I was very dissatisfied. They quoted me $500 for the body work and $ 250 for wheel curb rash. I guess I authorized $200 for redying seats. After about six weeks the bill became nearly $2500. They forgot the quote about redying seats and were "sure" that it was $250.

I can afford my car, but when a $950 service becomes $2,500 and a six week wait, it stings. I also notced that WWOC has a full lot of F-cars in the service department parking lot, many F cars sitting out in the sun, or the snow (as mine did for six weeks) or the rain.

    By the way:

If you are looking for a more cost-effective alternative to dealer service, Jim McGee at Pocono Sportscar is in my opinion the best Ferrari man around. He is in Shohola, PA not too far from the tri-state area. A real Ferrari expert who not only worked at various Ferrari dealers but also was a top guy at Ferrari North America for many years. His telephone # (570) 296-6486.
