This is what your money gets you at Wide World. This is a pic of the storage facility. I would prefer leaving my car in the driveway with a car cover, than paying top dollar for storage at Wide World. Look at the snow, are they crazy! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
There must be vents in the roof that the snow is getting through. These past storms were pretty fierce, and some of the vents in my home roof had a similar issue. On another note - why do you go by Pizza Prince? I'm a pizza buff (I've written a few articles about it), so I am curious
Yeah, there is some snow on them. But they are out of the sun and rain. Obviously well ventilated. ;-) I don't know what the going rate is for storage. Is 400 top dollar?
well there is no excuse for leaving the windows open on that red 355 and silver maranello. i hope the dino came in dented ;(
All I can say is WOW! I'd prefer some cover over the cars. How could the snow get it like that? It looks like they've opened up the doors and forgot to close it during the storm. Ace
I have no business affiliation with Wide World, but 3 cars on the bottom and no snow on the cars on top? Maybe they are new cars and were moved? Let wide world explain.
There is snow on the ground around the cars, so obviously it blew in via open doors or vents. If the owners are paying for climate controlled storage, then they may have an issue.
I dont think anyone would be happy with the results you see in the photos above. Wide World has two storage options, climate controlled and non...Climate controlled was $499 per month and non controlled is $399. In my opinion when you are given a choice between the two, the thought of snow and rain doesn't come into your mind. When someone mentions climate controlled, most of us assume heated or non heated. You can clearly see that the cars have not been moved in from outside. The photo was taken when there was about an inch of snow on the ground.
Something is wrong with that picture...if the snow came in from the top (vent) then it should have covered the cars on the top of the lifts as well, which it did not. If the snow "blew" in through an open door, why is there snow on the windshield of the car, and around the cars (and behind them), but not in FRONT of the cars? And there is no signs of shoveling the snow from in front of the cars, so that isn't the case. I don't know what to think about the pictures, but my dealings with Wide World were nothing but excellent. On the other hand I know that photoshop is a great tool....can make it snow in July!
Looks like it came in having been blown in from the side ("open") walls. The walls don't extend to the top of where the upper cars are, hence, no snow on them....my forensic analysis.
Liam is right, it is an open room. As anyone that has been there knows. The center section is vented, not sealed. But at least it is better than before which was no covered storage at all...
well you could always take it to Ferrari Central Jersey --- They offer climate control - cover - trickle charger and secured and its only $399 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wide World Ferrari offers 2 storage options, the first option is a climate control storage center at a cost of $399.00 per month. In this area we cover your vehicle and place it on a trickle charger. The second option is a open air storage center at a cost of $299.00 per month. We also place all of our service vehicles in the open air center while they are in waiting to be serviced. When you bring your car in for service it is not left outside in a parking lot, it is placed in a covered secured storage area. While we can control many things the one thing we can not control is the weather. These pictures where taken first think in the morning after a major snow storm. I wish the person that had taken these pictures would have returned later that morning to find the area and the vehicles had been cleaned. I would ask what condition was the vehicle in when it was picked up? All of our service vehicles are cleaned inside and out before the vehicle is returned to the client. We also pick up and deliver 90% of all of our clients vehicles in an inclosed flatbed truck. Wide World Ferrari takes great pride in our service and will not hide behind these posts, with that in mind I would ask anyone with concerns or comments please feel free to contact me Peter Vaccaro Director of Parts & Service at 845-425-2600 Ext#245 or email me at [email protected] Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
what about the window being open and all that moisture entering the vehicle. I am sure RickyN F355 deserves some sort of explanation at the least. Maybe his car was in for service because of a bad window regulator and he couldn't get the window all the way up..?? If that was first thing in the morning its safe to say that the window was open all night during the storm but it was cleaned up when he picked up... I am curious to know when he picked it up if you guys offered up that information (that his car window was open while in the storage lot during a snow storm). If you did, pretty cool.. If not then you are hiding things from your customers.. Let me borrow one of your cars and I will spill or spew liquid and snow all over the inside, don't worry I will clean it up before I bring it back.. If you found out what I did and I never told you, I would think you would be pretty pissed.. R
Why are we so worried about snow on the cars? The only reason snow is bad is because they salt the roads to get rid of the snow and ice so you can drive ... these cars are not on a road thus NO salt. Thus as the snow melts it will become water and no harm at all done to the cars. Yes the window being left open is disappointing but we are way getting our knickers in a twist over nothing. But I also would NOT want my car touched if it was covered in snow because the best way to clean it off would be to let it melt. Maybe one could help it melt off with a water hose ... ? Also unless a garage is well vented or humidity controlled a carport is better for your car. This area is obviously well vented ... far better than a sweaty garage with no air movement. Pete
Wehrmann Engineering in Hauppauge offers storage in a beauitful facility. They maintain race cars up through Formula 1, and have a storage area that can best be described as a museum of vintage machines. Great place..also great work.
hey guys im not even sure if thats my car...red 355s are always around...the inside of my car looks fine so it prob wasnt mine....its a new building and the snow has just gotten here...i for one wouldnt have thought of snow coming into the buildng, but obviously now they wont leave windows open. for the cars with the windows closed, no big deal...snow and water isnt going to kill a car.
