Hey guys....'97 355B with factory wheels. What is the widest tire that we can put on this wheel? Will 295's in the rear and 245's in the front fit properly? :)

The widest I would go on the front are 235/35-18's

Not to be a contrarian schmuck, but I'd stick with the stock sizes. I'm sure the engineers in Maranello spent a lot of time working on this to get the best setup. If it needed 295s in the rear, it probably would have come with them...

I've seen 235's in the front on 8.5" rims and 285's in the rear on 10.5" rims. 245's might rub the fender in a turn/bump. 295's would prob fit in the rear on a 10.5 rim as that is what a 512TR has, but I haven't seen it. The 285's looked really good and wide, but not dragster wide.

If you're sticking with stock wheels I'd be cautious of going too wide as the rim width is stock and you'll get tire overhang which a little looks good and meaty, but too much and you'll get alot of sidewall flex and it looks silly. I've had friends try to put super wide off road tires on stock jeep wheels and it looks really bad.

Ah forget all that ferrari engineers rubbish, and to what people who havnt dont it. Talk to people who know and have done it. Slap on some 295s;)I have been using them for two years and the car is alot better than the standard set up, dot com;) Much better handeling and more agresive stance. I also use 235s at the front.
I am also using 11mm spacers all round as well, so 295s on standard wheels will fit straight in.

Did you have to round the fenders to prevent rubbing?...especially on the fronts?

You do need to roll the fenders if you go to 255 fronts if the car is lowered. If you don't lower the car then no probleml.

I have 235 front and 315 rear, but that is on wider BBS wheels. Would stick with chaa`s setup with the original wheels, look great!
