O.k. Go to Nashville for a quick meal and shopping and leaving a Demo's in Nashville. I beep the alarm and proceed to get into the car when I hear the "excuse me, excuse me" being muttered from a distance.. I continue in the car hopeing to sneak away but I'm caught.. bam.. Man, wife and grown son who happens to be Blind. The mom asks if its ok for the son touch the car, because he has never touched a Ferrari before. I said ok no problem, felt bad for the kid not being able to see and all.. He touched the paint and windows and where the sunroof is, then the leather on the inside and then the Scuderia shield on the fender. The Father started asking more questions like "How much does it cost?? Is it fast? What speed does it Say it will go? The best comment/question yet.. "Is the engine in the Trunk?" I answer yes and he goes on to say "THEY SAY WE ARE BACKWARDS HERE IN THE SOUTH BUT THE GERMANS PUT THE ENGINE IN THE TRUNK AND THE TRUNK IN THE FRONT, I THINK THEY ARE THE BACKWARDS ONES"

Way too much wrong with that statement to even begin to explain.. :)

Anyway the Son got a kick out of feeling the car and hearing it I gave him a great sound bit when leaving Demo's. That would be horrible to be blind, and it reminded me that we should all thank god everyday(whomever he/she may be for you) for what you have and how good we all have it by just having all of our senses.

The dad takes the cake for funniest comment yet in My experience.

It was a win-win situation for one and all - the Dad got to vent his spleen - you almost busted one learning something new - as did all of us - IMPORTANT: THE ENGINE IS IN THE TRUNK, TRUNK IS IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT, or. should I say, UNDER THE HOOD. And a young Blind Man can see clearly now.

Sparks High School memories of roadtripping with a friend a few summers to take his Brother. Kenny, to School for the Blind - located hundreds of miles away. Kenny could ride a mean bicycle built for two, as well.

<ahem> not a Ferrari story...but a friend was helping me work on my '69 Beetle when I was 16 or so. He saw the word "oel" on the oil filler cap and said "I don't trust any car company that can't spell "oil." " Dude was always raggin' on my Bug. Guess what: we're not friends anymore. LOL
