Odds are that, under normal circumstances and based on base trends, BMW will not get a win. However, given the great uncertainty in tyhis season compared to last - technological changes mainly - weather and random acts, it is quite possible to see a win for BMW and Kubica since he is the lead driver. I'm thinking a rain race with a few of the normal front runners DNFed.

Straight up, he has no chance against the likes of Masa, Riki, Ferrari, McL, Hammy, etc. Too much competition in the top 5.

I definitely think that Kubica can win a race, even with the Ferraris and McLarens there. Heidfeld would need a little help, but it certainly is very possible.

+1, I just about to pose the same question. Right now, I have both Heidfeld and Kubica doing MUCH better than the Massassinator and I wouldn't be surprised if Massa finished 6th or 7th this year in the WDC.

But we have seen Massa and Hamilton take themselves out. Kimi too.

All it takes is a crash, flat tire, pit lane violation, anything.

IMO even without a catastrophic Ferrari/McL failure Kubica could do it. BMW has been steadily improving and I think this year we'll see a lot of good things from that team.

Kubica would have had pole in Oz if he had not gone off, BMW is no fluke they are just a half step off of Ferrari/McLaren and are closing fast.

In the 'Spoiler for idiots' thread I posted I'd bet they would. With Kubica's bubbling emergence as their #1, BMW's solid reliability and truly astonishing pace from the Origami wagon, no doubts here.

On second thought, make it 2 wins and an all Bimmer front row once. There's depth in that team.

Honda got a win in a far less competitive car than BMW. Under normal circumstances the 5th-6th fastest cars will not get a win. I give them a 51% chance of getting a single win.

With a little luck, either in forms of weather or on-track incidents, they certainly have a great chance of get their maiden F1 race win this season.

Those who think that either Heidfeld or Kubica will win even one Grand Prix race in 2008 have 16 additional chances to more than double their money!

    http://guardian.oddschecker.com/guardian/mode/o/card/motorsport-formulaone/odds/27364733x/sid/534658/mbid/161768522

Bookies are not stupid. Their odds reflect reality and both BMW drivers are a staggering 11/10 to win one out 18 races! . That's like saying they have they have a 1 in 19.8 times chance to win any given race. There are only 22 drivers so that really doesn't rate their chances to highly. To say that the pros think it's unlikely is to understate their feelings. I agree with them.

Bro, that's ridiculous. This Massa hating s#%t is getting old...

Of course they can. They have just shown that the car is fast. Fast enough to get a pole. And in F1, lets not forget that the drivers are so close in skill that if the cars fast enough, anybody can win. It's not going to take an act of god, just a fast car. Just look at Fernando, last year he was in the title hunt. This year he'll finish 6th or 7th. It's all about the cars. And if BMW is fast enough, their drivers will be able to pull out a race.
