Does anyone know if the CTEK 3300 12-Volt Smart Battery Charger will connect into the pre-existing socket that the Ferrari battery conditioner uses underneath the dashboard on the passenger's side?

I believe that CTEK uses their own design of connector that is different to the one Ferrari uses.

Even though OEM charger for Ferrari is built by CTEK, the socket in your car is proprietary to Ferrari, connection from a off the self CTEK wont work.

I'm taking a gamble on this but Daniel Pass sells a Factory Battery Charger kit that appears to include the CTEK to Factory pig tail. See pics. I just ordered the kit and will try with a CTEK 7002. I know, it's expensive but it's worth having a brand new Factory trickle charger to keep with the other "originally" supplied goodies that came with my 16M. I also ordered a set of the uber cool Carbonio Carbon Fiber Challenge Paddles. Daniel thanks for the FChat discount!

I have another idea for my Challenge Stradale. The Factory battery charger installs under the front boot, using an optional 3-pin connector that plugs into a connector port. See diagram.

    18 200857 1 BATTERY CHARGING CONNECTION CABLE -Optional 284.79
    25 178676 1 CABLE WITH CONNECTOR -Optional 241.90

If I buy the connection cable and the cable, all I need to do is splice in a CTEK fitting and I should be ready to go.

Does Daniel Pass sell the CTEK to Factory pig tail separately? I assume with this I could use the CTEK 3300 12-Volt Smart Battery Charger.

Would the dash icon showing the battery conditioner connection work with this setup?

I don't think anyone sells the pigtail as a separate part, I'm not too sure about the cost of the Daniel's OEM charger , but I have a feeling one can buy multiple off the shelf CTEKs for the price of one of those

It's not cheap. It was not an economic decision. My original charger went bad. It was replaced under warranty but the shop used a sharpie to put my name on the replacement so that it didn't walk out of the shop. I want to have one that I can keep in "new" condition with the car in the unlikely event I ever decide to sell.

In the interim, it will be an interesting project. I'm hopeful my CTEK 7002 will just plug in.
