Michael Schumacher is nearing the end of his career. Rubens, more than three years younger, has been a near-perfect teammate in the world of F1 and still has some racing years left. He's proved himself worthy of championship status (once MS is gone). Will Scuderia reward him for being a loyal teammate and #2 by keeping him on board after MS's reign? Or will they wipe the slate clean with a fresh crop of Button/Alonso etc to replace both drivers?

As long as he can do the job, I would keep him. I don't think it's that easy to find a good bootlicker in F1. But if they find a replacment for the King and a better #2, good bye Rubino. He decided to race for money instead of the Championship, so he isn't worth passing up a young guy with a future.
Maybe Rubens and Ralf are really brothers???
To answer your question, I don't think Ferrari "wants" to start with a new batch. They just want the best, whoever that pair is at that time, is the answer.

When?, he has NOT IMO done anything other than putter around. Once MS has gone RB will not be able to beat the other teams and drivers as he does NOT come second everytime.

IMO Ferrari are making a huge mistake in ignoring the second driver of their team and just sticking with the only okay RB. When MS leaves and half the technical team, they will have no driver capable of maintaining the pace of Ferrari. They should have hired some real young flyer and as he would have been no threat to MS, MS could have trained him up.

Instead Ferrari is shot sighted and ignoring the second driver completely and sticking with an also ran driver. Why I am so hard on RB, is that it has been proven time and time again that he lacks speed. Most of this speed could be gained if he would be flexible and learn to left foot brake. All the really fast guys do this but RN refuses to adapt. Good bye RB as far as I am concerned. That is like somebody telling you how to win races and then purposely ignoring it. Coulthard taught himself how to do it ... so why can't RB?

WC's are not gifts. The Ferrari car is NOT good enough to make RB a champion, he needs to step up and it is not going to happen in my life time.

He might start winning again once MS has secured the WC.

They have given him the chance to be a top-ranked Formula 1 driver for Ferrari during their reign of dominance (and probably a millionaire).

#1 needs to be earned, which may occur after MS leaves.

Winning again? You sound like he has been winning all of his F1 career. He picks up a win when ever MS has car troubles or gets wrecked. Bootlickers don't win races, they are handed wins.
