Sports like auto racing should be run by people who love the sport...and the financial goal of "breaking even so you can do it again next year" is what works best. If it means that the sport doesn't have as much hype and cost inflation, but has smaller teams, smaller salaries, fewer races, cheaper ticket prices, open testing, simpler rules, etc., well all to the better.

If there is so much disaffection among track owners and promoters, Liberty could see itself on the back foot before long.

Not long ago, they claim they wanted 25 GPs each year.

That sounds even more unrealistic now

I hope it is unrealistic.... too many races, all of them boring as ****, with team personnel having to work harder and harder, yet supposedly reduce costs as well? Like ****, liberty don’t seem to get a grip on anything, and end up working two ends of the problem..... more races/less races, more costs/less money allowed...... leave it alone at a sensible number, 18-20, and work on the quality by allowing innovation that improves the racing
