The Merc ain't that great a car, so there was nothing to gain for Kimi.
But if the rumors are correct Kimi will get Webber's seat for 2011 and that would give him a legitimate shot at another title.

Seriously I did read somewhere that Kimi is rumored to get Webber's seat for next year (and no, it wasn't in Dem Bild ). Whether there is any truth to that, who knows.
