I'm retired so I don't commute and I probably put on 6-7K miles/year. My current cars are a 2013 Bentley Continental GTC V8 and a 2014 Porsche Carrera S Coupe. I'm considering trading them both in for just one car. I'm considering the California T but am wondering if it's a suitable daily driver and is comfortable enough to take a 3-hour drive in. Speaking of which, I'm big: 6'1" and 280 lbs so an overly snug seat isn't a good fit for me.

I plan on using my Cali T for just that... daily driving. I'm 6'5" approximately 220 lbs.

Mitchell, you also live in So. Florida so I'm wondering if the lack of ventilated seats is an issue. The cooling I get in my cars' seats is wonderful on a hot day and I miss it when I'm in cars not equipped with it. Do you think the Daytona or diamond-quilted seats will be cool enough? Should I consider Alcantara inserts in the seats?

the seats to my knowledge are not ventilated. The electric seats are heated. I had pin hole ventilation in my Maserati which were more trouble cleaning than they were worth. I never had a heat issue with the Mas and they were black seats and a convertible. I ordered the standard seats which i had seen at a preview and i thought they looked great. I think whichever seat you order will be just fine for the heat, as i think they will all be about the same in cooling.

    Have you driven them much?
I'm 6'3" and just fit. I would think any taller would present a problem.

I also think 280lbs might be a tough fit.

However, if you fit, I think it's a great DD. I happen to go a lot of places where it would draw unwanted attention and parking would be too tight for my taste, so I only drive selectively.

I don't think any Ferrari is a good daily driver especially a red one as Ferrari's attract too much negative attention in this underdog jealous hateful world we live in.

Yup I fit! I canceled my 458 Spider order because I didn't fit (even with the carbon fiber racing seats on the lowest setting). I agree a Ferrari may not be the most practical DD but it's certainly the best! :).

I'm 6' 1", 225 and easily fit although at 68 years old I have to be careful getting in so I don't hit my head. The Cali makes a perfect daily driver, even here in NW Ohio with snow and ice (with SottoZero's). I put 29,000 miles on my 2010 Cali in 1.5 years and now have 23,000 miles on my 2012 in about two years, putting the additional miles on an FF. The Cali is a responsive, fast, and in the Comfort mode a smooth drive for long distance driving.
