I never said that Bubba Love was using federal tax dollars to write his memoirs. The Clintons are using federal tax dollars to pay for the mortgage on their mansion in Chappaqua, while reaping other benefits of their past. In short they are working the system.
And no, I am not holding Bill to high moral standards. I am just telling you why the Clintons had a "rough time in the White House". It's obvious to anyone that Bill has low moral standards. But he is the son of a used car salesman from Arkansas, and that helps to explain why he is the way he is.

since i posted the condi ticket idea, i'll weigh in some more:

- she is extremely bright luke so stop making yourself look (more) ridiculous.
- she will be the top of the ticket because hilary will be the top on the other side and you have to fight fire with a flame thrower!
- - the vp will be a nice young white man from the south to counterbalance condi.
- the good ole boy network will then be faced with a black woman who is a conservative, vs a white woman who stands for everything they despise.
- then, don't underestimate what will happen in every black household in this country: they will vote for condi. there is no black woman who will not cast that ballot, and no black man who doesn't want to get on the wrong side of his wife and momma is going to vote against condi.

relax, just sit back and think of it as the american version of thatcher !

 

1) Condi will never be president, not in the foreseeable future.

2) I'd be stunned if she ever made it to VP.

3) She IS annoying and DOES come across like a moronic puppet in interviews ....IMO.

4) The Black vote will NEVER be republican, not in the foreseeable future. Unlike you, I'll bet, I'm live/work around a lot of black people, and trust me, it just won't happen. Black people LOVE the Clintons! They LOVE them!!

we'll folks - thats socialism. and it doesnt work. the dem's want a society where we all have equal. equal pay, equal education, equal healthcare, etc. completely goes against the law of nature and for all the social engineering enacted will never happen.

for all the praise and hope that was put on with the "clinton" 8 yr. presidency. whats changed and happened? nothing, the rich got richer to an ever widening disparity despite clinton's blasting of the reagan years, the education disparity widened between poor/rich schools. etc

 

Good points. I guess she 'made' it politically, but maybe they think for the wrong team. Maybe what those people who think negatively want is rah-rah and hoopla and pulpit-pounding without being in the Federal gov't (ala Jackson/Sharpton).

The irony of the explosive wealth of the Clinton years is that most of the tech wealth was subsequently lost when the bubble burst and many corporate liars got burned. The rich Democratic voting block was solidified though, which was an interesting development -- they could say they were "for the people" and still hide their money like rich Repub's, and spend the middle-class' tax money on the poor. They have their cake and people love them for it...

i think you all are being a bit hard on luke. while condi is no doubt a smart women she is very close minded. i have never seen her admit fault or take blame. as long as she maintains the loyalty posture, she will be a valued bush team member. but, if she steps out of line she will suffer the fate of paul o'neil. it is iironic that the bush admin is now (well not currently...seems they have shut the issue down) bad mouthing o'neil. seems a bit funny as o'neil is by no means an idiot either. seems loyalty is more important than doing the best for the country. condi will be looked at as an "uncle" tom by both black and white voters if she ever aspired to run for pres. again, she is not stupid but she it very difficult to listen to...almsot as tough to listen to as dubyah! luke , i can see how you feel that way.
