    I know you don't want to hear this, but oftentimes the check engine light literally means, "hey, check the engine... something is wrong". It can be triggered by a faulty O2 sensor, it can be triggered by a bad brake light switch, it can be triggered by a loose gas cap, or more significantly, it can be triggered by about 75 different conditions that are monitored by the OBD.

    If it were my car, I'd take it to a Ferrari shop (dealer or independent) and just get it fixed correctly instead of simply blinking off the light.

    Again, just my 2-cents.

    It won't allow you to remove the MIL, you can only view the code. You need a scan tool to turn off the MIL, but even then, if the problem is not fixed it will return. If you are sure the problem has been fixed and the MIL is still on, go to a shop and have them remove all DTC's with a scan tool, takes 2 seconds but they'll probably charge an hour for diagnostics labor. Or if you wanna go big, buy a scan tool from snap-on or the like for $5,000. :)

    MIL = Malfunction Indicator Light
    DTC = Diagnostic Trouble Code

    I just ordered an OBD-II adapter cable from RICAMBI, do I need this for an ACTRON Scanner for use on my 360?

    Since the O2 sensor is new, the ECU has to go thru the relearn process. Otherwise CEL will keep coming back even if you reset the code.
    Your car is running off the old O2 sensor setting which may not be the opt for the new sensor.

    Why do you say that? I couldn't imagine they'd make such a tool that DIDN'T clear codes, so I actually went and looked at the page for the product. Note in the product description: "Erases Codes. Lets the user turn off the "Check Engine" light, clear codes and reset monitors."

    Not exactly. There's no learning associated with adapting to a new O2 sensor. The O2 sensor looks like a switch to the ECU and is used as an input to other learning algorithms. As long as the new O2 sensor is seen switching the MIL should go away reasonably quickly.

    So there's a question why hasn't the MIL gone away? Well, you can go to an AutoZone store (or probably something you have nearby if no AZ's in your area) and they'll plug in for free and read codes. Or if you're going nuts with that light, you can always disconnect the battery to clear the codes. If it comes back, you know something's still wrong!

    This is not rocket science. Any OBD II scanner with erase capability will do the trick. Sometimes you get false codes so having a scanner helps or got to someplace like autozone and they'll read the code. The important part here is to find out what codes have been triggered and determine if this is a "real" problem of a sensative sensor. There may be a few unique Ferrari codes but you should be able to find out what the specifics are by asking the service folks at a F shop. So check the codes and see what they mean.
