I will NOT trade my 550 against any Porsche. OK, GT1 or Carrera GT might be worth considering as a replacement .....

    ;o))))))

Different strokes...although these are the real deal Scheel Rally 400 seats that were used in the 1968-70 911 Rally cars. And I have the original seats.

Yes and in 10 years that Porsche will far exceed the 550 in value.

You may be right but since both are meant to be driven there will be a losing side to any mega upswing. If Ferrari doesn't ever make a manual V12 again I am not so sure of the future price of the 550.

    I doubt that.

Cool 911, and I'll never sell my 67 911-however, the 550 will eventually be recognized as a very special car.

I'm a big 922 fan; however, that bubble will pop soon. The really early cars and unique ones like RSR will hold a lot of their value. Others....no.

Anyone remember the bust of the late '80's, the recent hemi MOPAR bust, etc?

Been there, done that. Too much $ out there right now finding a home in these kind of cars.

This supposed bubble of course includes F-cars, right? The money sourced for collectables is from a completely different investor/collector. The biggest difference is this money today is cash and not borrowed as it was in the 80s.

GS you are pretty much correct except for the new breed or "arrivistes" as we used to say; for the most part I see $500k or more on the loan app in annual joint income and about $5 in the bank, car payments of $6k a month, maybe $80k or so owed to Amex and they are still flying private to Cabo.
If they ever figure out how to get out of debt, the sky is the limit for the 550, a true sleeper.
