When I started reading this thread I thought she was just curious as to what other people might drive. Exotic or not, sportscar or otherwise. I have a very wide range of appreciation for cars. I was going to post what I have until this turned into a venue for venusone to judge those of us that don't own yet. I met a guy at the local cruise in spot with a Gallardo. I was wearing my Ducati t-shirt (I do own one) and he asked me if I had a Duc or just bought a shirt. My response was, "Sure do, its parked out front. They will let any ****** with $14k buy a 748, not like a Lamborghini when the ****** needs to have $160k." Money doesn't make you a nice person. Karen if people have blasted you in the past maybe there was a reason. If everyone has a problem with you then the problem is you. Don't start a pissing match if you can't at least write your name in the snow.

I drive around in Adidas. Got 2 of 'em, too. They're pretty nice for drifting in the grocery-store lap (have to work on my line to get that lap time down!), and maintenance is pretty low. Best of all, they're environmentally friendly, no emissions to speak of. Unless there's chili involved. But that's another whole story.

It seems like you're a bit PO'd. But I still don't get the point you're trying to make. If the "bashers" did own a Ferrari or did have a sportscar, then is it OK for them to bash then? I wouldn't think so. Your complaints about bashing and whether people actually own Ferrari's or sports cars just aren't correlated.

 

i don't. Shoot, i'm still in college. Few years down the road, i might have one. I just wanted to learn some more before i came to that point.

I've been following this since this morning, and don't quite understand the cause of some of the posts in the 'key fob' thread. I'm thinking there must be some history but, since I'm still a newbie, I don't know what it is--and maybe don't want to know.
Karen got pounced on (in 'key fob' thread) pretty hard, I thought, for no reason I could determine. I think she got a bit P.O.'d, and responded with this thread. Then, well... then things sort of fell apart, and now lots of folk are offended.
I would offer the following for consideration: Karen's post (in this thread) that has everybody upset is possibly directed more towards a few unnamed individuals than at the community at large.
When looked at in that light, a different picture emerges, i.e. she started this thread already pi$$ed, and understandably so.

i have a ferrari, now if i was only 1/24th i could drive it. Other than that i drive around in my honda waiting for the day that i get one thats life size.

 

Well, if that's the case, i have one of the largest collections on the board...! Aside from Mule and Andreas and a few others, i think i'd be way up there...

 

One day I will own a Ferrari, but for now, I'm on a Mustang kick. I currently have a 1993 SVT Cobra Mustang, # 2162 of 4997 made, ( 1 of 802 color combination) with just over 34,000 original miles. Dynoed 240 RWHP, so approx. 275 hp. at the motor.

My other Mustang is a 2000 Cobra R, # 76 of 300 made. The 2000 R came with no back seat, no AC, no radio, and a 5.4 V8 rated at 390hp/ 390tq. I plan on having the car dynoed next weekend. I have added a 6 point roll bar, five point belts, SS brake lines, free flowing Bassani exhaust, and a rear differential cooler for the open track events I attend, usually twice per year. I have 22,000 miles on her and have enjoyed each and every one !!!
