Well, for all of you who missed out on the MD/PA Grand you really missed out. First of all let me thank the event coordinators Fred and Betsy. This was quite possibly the best two days of touring, eating, socializing, and sight-seeing I have EVER experienced. Just to recap before I get to some MIND_BLOWING photos (which I have 36 more of to post later in the week after my film comes back! :D ): Saturday morning we started out from Hagerstown, Maryland with a CUSTOM-MADE and personalized gift bag (photo is below...last I think). After a quick 15 minute ride west on I-70 we stopped and checked out Rocky Gap(I believe) climbing to the top of the stairs for a beautiful shot of the Maryland landscape. Then it was rally-mania along I-68 until we hit Route 326 north into PA. Now, if you have not been out on this road you MUST get out there if for nothing else to see the countryside. Winding, swerving, up, and down action for about 20 miles with just Ferraris (and Ignacio's TwinTubro tearing it up). It was then time for the obligatory gas stop :D Then off we tore to the Green Gables Inn/Mountain Playhouse...if you ever get a chance to dine here be sure you get the Beef and Potato Salad...I am still dreaming of when I can get back there for some more eats! The best part was our arrival which saw a flurry of brake-light activity (we were about 5th in line) as a local cop was stashed away nicely...many thanks to the radar detector which Fred and Betsy were sporting...saved my tip money for lunch :D After lunch we headed to the Johnstown incline. In one word: WHOOOOOAAAAA!!! As I stood there and watched the two lifts go up and down I wondered if I would have the nerve to get on...then I realized that my car was in a line and had no way of turning around...so much for backing out at that point. Talk about exhilarating...those pics will be up later in the week...what a blast. Then we are greated at the top of the incline by a local cop who provided our group traffic services by blocking traffic once we moved along on our way to Blue Knob. The trip through Blue Knob state park was a blast and did get a little bumpy on the way to the hotel, but well worth the drive. A great night of socializing and triva was followed by a drive back and OH YEAH on Route 326 south and over a covered bridge which was, unfortunately, burned down in 2002 and just re-finished and open...just BEAUTIFUL!!!! Okay...off my soap-box and on to the pics....ENJOY!!!

    Cheers,
    Travis

p.s. The photos begin with shots of us at the Green Gable followed by shots of us motoring around and then at Blue Knob and then by the covered bridge...and that dude is my buddy Kris who was kind enough to come along (and who got to drive my Testarossa for the ENTIRE southbound experience on 326!) since my wife bailed on me for Virginia Beach...she missed out!!! :D

Ignacio, the pleasure was all mine...especially getting to follow that monster Porsche of yours(and watching it blow by me!). Let me know if you would like a copy of all my photos on a CD...I can burn one for you no problem.
